looking for a story about a necromancer who gains his powers at a very young age, (a sibling killed by a werewolf), finds a tome (book with a soul) at the local library, studies anatomy, summons a succubus and binds her to him, creates an undead ghoul from a corpse (he wants to call him something really longwinded, ends up calling him rags because of his tome) talks to a ghost, fights werewolves (one of whom lives in his apartment building), frees a magic spell from an enemy assassin. fights a wizard (wins extremely easily), unites a bunch of non human factions, attacks a vampire den, and releases the mind controlling magic spell from an enemy assassin.
in this story all necromancers have a bad reputation, which is quite undeserved.
