Neat Christmas Ideas

Mr Freaky got out all 10000 strands of Xmas lights today. Starting hanging them.

I bought a fake tree at WalMart the other day. Already has the lights on it. I'm getting old. I swore I'd never have a fake tree... I lied.

Great thread idea, Lavy. :)

On an up note, I got my mom the most fantastic present ever. It's one of those stove top espresso makers like the Europeans use. I don't know why people spend hundreds of dollars on espresso machines, when these little ten dollar ones make the best coffee EVER.

It was super hard to find though. I have a link to a website that sells them if anyone is interested.

Doublestick tape makes wrapping not only easier, but more professional looking. Inexpensive ornaments make for quick and simple package decorations.

Ah, but is it genuine artificial snow? I have connections in Michigan for the real stuff.

First, you should determine whether you will be having a white Christmas, a green Christmas or a brown Christmas. The exterior decor needs to complement the colors of the yard. Artificial snow would look stunning, especially if your neighbor's yards are all in earthtones. But be sure it's all firmly attached. You don't want to disturb your neighbor's look with stray drifts.

Any decor separate from the house should be lit separately. Avoid lighting the house with anything but the special house lights. Your garage and driveway may also need its own lighting.

Never use red yard lights during a green Christmas. Try amber or blue, or even both for a textured effect.

Nope, it's this new stuff. You mix a powder with water and it makes this stuff that's like snow, only not cold.

Martha Stewart, is that you?

My mother collects Santas and I found the cutest Santa cookie jar to get for her and fill with homemade cookies.

My friend is teaching me how to do batik, so pretty much everyone else gets a wall hanging. :D
