or

"Red and yellow, kill a fellow" and "red and black, venom lack."


I've heard both sayings.. Not sure which is the "correct" one. But they do say the same basic thing

I always heard the latter, but like you said they maen the same thing.

My first rule of thumb has always been don't let any damn snakes bite ya!

So far it's worked for me

The only snake I've come across is my one-eyed trouser snake.
