Nature Appreciation

Here we have another wonder of nature......Phalaenopsis stuartiana "Sogo" x itself a seedling. Also from the Philipines The typical form of stuartiana is white however....this one is an odd ball

from central america Cattleya guatelmalensis... my spelling may be in error. Can you imagine seeing a tree with the branches covered with this stuff.

Hi John!

Here is something in nature that I appreciate, but for some reason my sweetie doesn't seem to hold the same appreciation for said natural beauty....

My favorite four lines

In your eyes,

I can find my heaven.

In your eyes,

A life is waiting for me.

Thank You so much. I have cried a lot of joyful tears to that

They are great aren't they? We used to swim in a creek until we spotted a 12 footer lurking where we had been swimming the week before. Nice photo FinestSilk :)

Nice night shot FinestSilk. I painted a similar shot like that once, now if I can only find my paintings... I love moon on the water.

glistening silver
ripples of light
gracing our eyes
in the beautiful night
:)

Such a lush photo. :) I would love to see the night shot. Click on your posted picture and cut and paste the address into your posting. It worked earlier for the sunrises that I linked. Thanks Stegral

IamAm those are lovely photos, I cannot imagine living in such a beautiful place. Surely I would be hiking a lot in such a place. I would have to start painting again too. :)

When you find that special person their eyes are something that draw us to them, tell us their mood. It is a window to their soul and a window that draws you in, wanting to savor the experience for as long as you can hold onto it.

ALways look for that dream in their eyes. If you look, you'll find it and the dream can never end.

smiling......I shall look forward to them......the moon was lovely here as well, I wish I had my camera.

The passion vines are thriving.....Gulf Fritillary Butterflies are everywhere, the Zebra longwings are tryinig to lay eggs but the predation is too intense between the wasps and the lizards.....time to collect eggs and grow babies.....The Orange-barred sulphurs need help too. Nursery time for the butterflies. :)

I drive to and from Kissimee Florida to Melbourne FLA. every friday. Here is what I saw. Flying across the road I saw a pink bird. At first I got very excited because there hybrid Ibises flying around that are a cross of Scarlet Ibis from South America and the native white Ibis. When I got a better look it was a Roseate Spoonbill which I have not seen outside the Merrit Island National Wildlife Refuge before....still a good find. Next birds of note were a pair of Crested Caracaras sitting on the powerpoles along the road no doubt taking advantage of the previous nights road kills. Then on the powerfline...a red-shouldered Hawk, next a bizzare looking bird......What is it?.....A Turkey.
And then swooping low over the trees a Swallow-tailed Kite..a beautiful, graceful bird in flight......they nest in the the southern United States and in a research a radio transmitter was attached on one to check out migration.......they winter in South America along the Andes mountians, the other birds hate them as they are predators of their young. And of course there were the other birds....snowy, cattle and great white egrets, Sandhill Cranes, cardinals, blue jays, mockingbirds, Boattailed grackles, common grackles, fishcrows, black vultures,......ect....
The ride never gets dull, on occaison a bald eagle is spotted. :)
