Stay tuned

I started out to be an archaeologist, then a coroner of sorts I wanted to identify dead people. But anthropology politics made both impossible. That is, the old perfessers hated real science. Real science being testable facts and methods vs experience and traditions. In the 70s hard scientists invaded anthropology and war came.

So, instead you became a Civil Engineer, so you could dig a trench through old grave yards.

So there were great battles between fact collectors and the Old Guard. Genetics is a collateral discipline of anthropology, and often at odds with the 'boneheads'. It got so conflicted and politicized the hard scientists dropped their name, SOCIOBIOLOGY, for EVOLUTIONARY PSCHOLOGY. Psychologists vote on what is an aint a fact.

Funny how so many took your initial post literally and went in head first,

Good one.

Neoliberalism has taken a lot of the excitement and fun out of education.
Too much of it is almost limitted to statistics and collecting things. Plus the technical - bureaucratic lingo to make everything sound 'credible' and 'scientific' makes things seem so unpallatabl. and joyless …

My Memory perfesser shit when I told her memory is a fiction. Wasn't my idea. A prominent medical scientist and Nobel Laureate made the discovery. There is only recognition.
