I did this, this morning, and just passing this one to
those who are interested in registering their phone
number so they don't get calls from pesky telemarketers!

All info is on that website.

I submitted two phone numbers... it took two days to get the emails with the'click through' links for confirmation. They must be swamped with requests.

I'm disappointed that my State doesn't have any registry... most of the calls I get come from within the state. Maybe the creation of the national registry will spur them on.

Hey Arden!

The website was getting at least 1000 hits every second
or minute, whichever! I was able to go there this morning
and submit my phone number this morning w/ no problem.

You eat telemarketers for lunch? :D
*giggle*

Initially the site was overwhelmed. I got three numbers registered yesterday no fuss. Really quite easy. My state began a no call list last fall, major improvement here in peace and quiet w/o telemarketers. Unfortunately, charities, veteran orgs and politicians can still call.

Heehee if a politician calls up here, i could give them a
piece of my mind! :D

We have the state no call, and I signed up for it last year. It helps some, but they find ways of getting through. They use their own phone numbers or private. But it really helps alot. I am planning on signing up for the national. I think most of them I get are out of state. But someone before was right that non profit organizations and anyone that you have donated to before can call you but you are supposed to be able to take you off the list and they are not supposed to call again.

My parents have gotten telemarketing phone calls
from Canada! :D

Thank you lilsis .... I reg. and no problems.....it was fast and easy... :rose:
