I'm desperately seeking a song. I can barely remember it.

It would have been from '90 or '91. It was quite popular at my college. It was a female vocalist (although there may have been a whole band, I can't remember.) It was just a kind of deep pop-type song about a horrible relationship, and the only words I can remember are "addicted to the drama."

Anyone? Sorry there's so little to go on.

I can't help you with the title or artist, Darling. But can I make a suggestion? I had that same problem where I remembered only one line to a song from the 60's but I had no idea who was the artist or the title of the song. I was trying to impress a cute Mexican coworker of mine who said that she learned to speak English from the song but she also did not know the song title or artist. So I went to a seach engine (Alta Vista, Lycos, IWON, etc.) and from there found a music forum. That is where, like you, I typed in the one line that I knew and within 24 hours, I received numerous responses and e-mails from individuals who knew the exact song, artist, when it was recorded, and even informed me that it was a 1 Hit Wonder for the artist.
So give that a shot and good luck.

OOO! One more line's popped into my head!

"I need you, I need you like a drug..."

Perhaps the whole song will mysteriously arrive!

Thanks, GuyJD, if I get desperate enough, I'll give that a go.

"Like A Drug" They Eat Their Own, '91.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Still can't find the lyrics, but I'm far less annoyed now <g>

The list I found it on also listed another *brilliant* band I had forgotten all about: The The. Wow. Were they cool.

name that tune

DB... you may have some luck with finding that song by going to http://www.songfile.com...just type in the lyrics and it will match up the words with some performers...it may be a little tricky to navigate but the results are usually awsome. good luck

Damn, even I couldn't find the lyrics to that song for ya, sorry Darlin I tried.

Thanks for trying )

It's kind of puzzling, actually. It was quite a big song at the time. Apparently, the album itself has become a collectors item and is rather rare these days. So there are about 20 sites with people boasting they've got the album, but not ONE of them posts the damn lyrics.

I'm about to do something really, really stupid on Ebay out of frustration <bg>

It IS out there as an MP3, however; I read it on someone's play list. I have a player which I don't use. I've never gone out to "find" a song. Can anyone tell me how I, umm, do that? <blush>

Thanks :)

thats as close as I can come

What is love - Cos baby I don't know

I got a funny feeling in my heart

If this is love - it feels like butterflies

So tell me baby is this how it starts

I know I've never felt like this before

You're like a drug you got me wanting more

I've got to let you know - I've got to let you know...

You're - You're my number one/I'd do anything for you

Catch the rain from the sky/Even hold back the tide for you

Baby, baby, you're, you're my number one/With you i know I belong

I put the radio on and its always playing our song...

Tell me what - what I have gotta do

Cos I wanna lay a claim on you baby

To make you mine - for now and for all the time

So tell me baby what i gotta do

I know I've never felt like this before

You're like a drug you got me wanting more

I've got to let you know- I've got to let you know...

You're - You're my number one/I'd do anything for you

Catch the rain from the sky/Even hold back the tide for you

Baby, baby, you're, you're my number one/With you i know I belong

I put the radio on and its always playing our song...

And there ain't nothing I wont do

I'd walk on water just to be with you...

Baby, baby

You're - You're my number one/I'd do anything for you

Catch the rain from the sky/Even hold back the tide for you

Baby, baby, you're, you're my number one/With you i know I belong

I put the radio on and its always playing our song...

No :(

The bits I have are right: band, title, and that bit of lyric. So I'm sure that's not the song.

But thank you for looking :)

Now that it's busier, I'm bumping this in case anyone knows what the hell I'm talking about :)
