From an AP report on the SQ Hell/Slammer/Sapphire web virus that infected 39,000 SQL servers over the weekend, bringing down bank ATM networks and ISP's on Saturday:
"Mysterious scans that could have been a precursor to Saturday's attack have been detected by Internet sensors since last year, searching out vulnerable computers."
Lit runs SQL servers....so I'm now wondering if all those firewall scans we were getting over the past few months was part of SQHell's "pre-launch" strategy.
Thoughts?
