My daughter bought herself a book recently, something about self-discovery by listing things about yourself. It just consisted of a bunch of pages where you could write in these lists. Great marketing; selling the equivalent of a bound legal pad. No effort to put into any writing - something I could probably whip out in a couple of days.

Anyway, I don't need to make lists to discover anything about myself, but I do like to learn about others, and to share what I am like with them. So here are some lists from me - feel free to share own vices, virtues, likes and dislikes.

My Vices:

I procrastinate.
I am lazy.
I don't exercise and I should.
I am a slob sometimes.
I am something of a couch potato.
I am addicted to sex.
I am addicted to Lit.
I am not very socially adept.
I am shy.
I get easily distracted.
I am sometimes too blunt.
I sometimes have a temper.
I have been known to hold grudges for a long time (I am still pissed at the guy who broke my nose in a fight).
I sometimes let people take advantage of me.
I sometimes come across as arrogant.
I am opinionated, obstinate and stubborn.
I am sometimes pedantic.
I am often too verbose.
I tend to ramble on about any subject - often getting off track.

My Virtues:

I try really hard to be honest and to have integrity.
I am responsible.
I seek the truth.
I try to be fair, even to people who are unfair to me.
I try to be polite - even to people who are rude to me.
I try to see all sides of an issue, and I allow for disagreement.
I am detail oriented.
I work hard and I try to do quality work.
When I fuck up I own up to it - I let those who need to know I fucked up.
I am very patient.
I am very easy going.

My dislikes:

Dishonesty.
Being accused of something I didn't do.
People who are rude.
People who are narrow minded.
People who are arrogant.
People who aren't fair to other people.
Smoking.
I don't drink. I don't care if other people drink, or even occassionally get a little intoxicated, but people who get drunk often lose my respect, and people who drink while driving are irresponsible idiots.
Horror movies.
People who are inconsiderate.
Pain - giving or receiving.
Being restrained or restricted.
Being poor.
Being bored.
Being unemployed.
Remembering things I regret doing.
Inadvertantly causing emotional pain to others.

My likes:

Food (especially chocolate! :p).
Sex.
Sleeping.
Fresh air when I am sleeping or driving.
Warmth.
Cuddling when I am in the mood.
A good movie.
Books.
Motorcycles.
Firearms.
Photography.
Wildlife.
Travel.
Forests.
Futurama, The Simpsons, South Park, educational TV shows.
The Internet.
Writing.
Developing software.
Debating politics and philosophy.

Easily - I just type it out.

Nope, not really...either one. Is that a *bad* thing?
Not for you; for you I would even let you watch "As the stomach turns", "Generally Bad Hospital", "Entertainment Tonight", or "Cops" on my TV. I would even watch with you as long as I could wear headphones and read a book. :D

How are you doing DA? How is your son?

Stay tuned for possible good news.
