My turn on night shift is rapidly drawing to a close. If not for this I would not normally be visiting the Lit forum (thank you, stop the applause). And I would be unaware of the ensuing activity.

It seems to me that new writers are demanding assistance in a deluge that the editors are unable to deal with in a timely manner. AKA there is a shortage. Anyone who has recently purchased gas knows what that is like. I am neither inferring nor speculating that gas is a problem. <nudge>

The answers are that the writers will go elsewhere, stop writing altogether, or will open their hearts and minds.

Hmmm.. getting funny-tired.

Hi there,

My turnover time is 1-2 days. I have not had any complaints about not getting the job done in a timely fashion, however, I am off work right now with injuries too. I don't expect I will be able to continue editing 5 or 6 stories a day once I go back to work. I really enjoy doing this so I'll just keep on plugging along til that time comes. ;)

If anyone needs help with their overload, please don't hesitate to send them my way. It is keeping me SANE!!!!!! LOL :nana:

Angel Love, pleased to meet you. Thanks for your offering of assistance. Via PM I have taken on 3 new writers in addition to 1 that I have had for, probably, nearly a year (LadyC sent him my way when it seemed his needs and my skills matched). Which is nothing like the hundreds that I know kbate, LadyC, and other hard-working editors have been assisting.

I said it before, I say it now, and I'll say it again. Thanks to ALL the editors out there who are helping newcomers and vets alike. Each branch we take off lightens the load for others. Okay, some have thorns, so wear gloves, but grab a branch.

I have edited over 300 stories since sept of last year. I enjoy what I do and have many many repeat authors. It is a joy to help those that need assistance with all parts of the story. Good luck to you too . . . smiles.

You see hun...I knew you and him would be a perfect match and I wasn't wrong. :D I'm glad to know you're still editing.

If you were closer you'd get a hug and a smooch for every nice things you've ever said about editors. Let's make them virtual shall we? :D
