My turn on night shift is rapidly drawing to a close. If not for this I would not normally be visiting the Lit forum (thank you, stop the applause). And I would be unaware of the ensuing activity.
It seems to me that new writers are demanding assistance in a deluge that the editors are unable to deal with in a timely manner. AKA there is a shortage. Anyone who has recently purchased gas knows what that is like. I am neither inferring nor speculating that gas is a problem. <nudge>
The answers are that the writers will go elsewhere, stop writing altogether, or will open their hearts and minds.
Hmmm.. getting funny-tired.
