I think we're getting a bit of freezing rain right now... not sure what tomorrow's going to be. I hate it. I want spring to spring.

posting in the song thread got me thinking about the band days... 3 things immediately came to mind:

we played at a place called The Riverside Inn.. the front was made to look like a boat. after almost every song for the first couple of sets some woman yelled, "turn the page! play turn the page!" sometimes it was, "turn the page, goddammit!" finally I popped a quarter in the jukebox and played it on our 2nd break. I guess that was good enough, she either shut up or passed out after that. lol.

one place we played some guy asked if we knew anything by bob seger. we could have played "old time rock and roll" but none of us really liked it and we weren't in the mood so we said no. he said he was going to go get his brothers and come back and kick our asses if we didn't play some seger. lol.

this was also at the Riverside... it might have even been the same gig as the other one. . we played a song by the chili peppers called "mellowship slinky in b flat major", one of the less well-known songs on the bloodsugarsexmajik cd. after we got finished I heard some guy say something like, "they better not play any more of that nigger music."

my big "groupie" moment: we played a party in a dorm at miami university... I was sitting outside on one of our breaks and some pretty young thing told me I was good and she really like listening to me. all I could think of to say was, "thanks". nothing else. sheesh.

I've seen both of those a couple of times. I'm not a huge steven seagal fan, but I think that's his best movie. we also share a b-day, I think.

I think I meant it more as... rams are supposed to be hard-headed. I think I'm a little easier to get along with. or maybe I meant "soft in the head" as dumb. lol. nah... let's go with easy to get along with. soft head, soft heart... that's me.
