hmmmmm.... thought we had one for tonight.purrbaby said:Hey, I kept our date didn't I?![]()

thanks for stopping by.... I guess this thread used to be semi-popular at one time, but now it's just me and a couple of die-hards that stop by when they have nothing else to do. it looked like your thread was pretty popular with some of the fellas tonight.skittles_lm said:meow? just wanted to stop in and purr in your ear a bit...quite the popular thread you have here!
Thanks for coming to mine and saying hi.
And my favorite band is Tool. Just so any other Tool fans can come rave with me, and the Tool haters acan try and talk shit which I will skillfully deter onto themselves so smoothly I will be gone and they will still be smmiling until they figure out what hit em...
Gee, I'm bratty tonight, aren't I?

I've only heard a couple of songs by tool... they weren't exactly my cup of motor oil, but I won't talk any shit about them, either. I almost wish I was a tool hater so you could demonstrate your verbal (oral?) skills on me.![]()
is that the only style of music you're into?
as for the brattiness, it's been my experience that women with an av like that can be as bratty here as they wanna be.hope you'll stop by again sometime.

I've seen that av... just because we haven't chatted before doesn't mean I haven't noticed you. I dunno if I would call it bratty... that's a little too mild. you look downright predatory in that pic. have mercy!skittles_lm said:Yeah, my thread only ever gets hit like that when I don't want it to! Otherwise it is dead for days at a time, ya know? Grrr
I listen to all kinds of music, but mostly I stick with classic rock and hard rock. What can I say? I'm a rocker!
And you shoulda seen my other Av... in fact, I'll show ya! It really does highlight the brattiness.
My verbal(oral) skills are astounding, btw. Come tangle with them anytime you would like a verbal beatdown!

Well, I have no idea what to say about you having noticed me before. Why didn't you come say hi? Or perhaps the better question is, why now? lol, my insatiable curiosity is piqued!mrtnmoon said:I've seen that av... just because we haven't chatted before doesn't mean I haven't noticed you. I can dig on the classic rock. the heaviest stuff I listen to, tho, is the kind of stuff that used to be considered hard rock/heavy metal, like ac/dc or whitesnake. beatles fan, or are they not heavy enough?
I'm not much into beatdowns, but I will keep you in mind.![]()

why haven't I said hi before? could be any number of reasons, one of which is I'm kinda shy. if I got into some of the others, I'd be walking that depressing tightrope again. lol. why now? because the thread was called "save me from myself" which I took to mean as save me from my boredom, which I was also feeling at the time.skittles_lm said:Well, I have no idea what to say about you having noticed me before. And predatory can be a good thing at times. At least I hope it can!
I like the Beatles, my parents brought me up right. I love ac/dc too.
And we'll skip the beatdown then, at least until you get on my cranky side... I would only slap you with rhetoric and spank you with my astounding powers of creative egomania anyhow.
Gotcha babe, and I'll check them out when I can. Feel free to come save me from the swarms of overly eager males anytime... or my boredom, whichever comes first! g;night, hun. It was nice to meet you!mrtnmoon said:why haven't I said hi before? could be any number of reasons, one of which is I'm kinda shy. if I got into some of the others, I'd be walking that depressing tightrope again. lol. why now? because the thread was called "save me from myself" which I took to mean as save me from my boredom, which I was also feeling at the time.
predatory can be very good. I wish there were women that look like you that were hunting me down... I wouldn't be trying very hard to get away.
now... since you like the beatles and since you're from california I have to put in a plug for one of my favorite bands, dada. (they're from cali, too.) the best harmonies this side of the beatles, except a little bit heavier and with much better guitar playing. you should check them out.
nice to meet you, too. if you check out dada I hope you'll let me know what you think. I dunno what part of cali you're from, but they're playing someplace in hollywood on march 31 and they're even better live.skittles_lm said:Gotcha babe, and I'll check them out when I can. Nowhere near hollywood (thank god) but I will do my best to look them up soon. And if I don't get back to you in a day or so...come hound me! I get distracted rather easily sometimes! lol what else do you like to listen to? I really want to go see Rage at Coachella... I gotta make that happen somehow.mrtnmoon said:nice to meet you, too. if you check out dada I hope you'll let me know what you think. well.... a few posts in one night does not an active thread make. or does it? hell, I dunno. anyway, hi back at ya. nice to see you around again.virgin_not said:Just dropping by to say hello and good to see this thread is getting active again!![]()

I am mostly a 70's/early 80's classic rock/hard rock guy. ac/dc, kansas, styx, queen, night ranger.... that kind of stuff. some "poppier" bands, like huey lewis and the news and the little river band. most of the stuff I listen to is still stuff I listened to in high school.... dunno how I lucked out and discovered dada, since they didn't release their debut til 1990-something.skittles_lm said:Nowhere near hollywood (thank god) but I will do my best to look them up soon. it's kind of funny that you say that, because even tho you were joking it kind of gets to part of my answer to your "why didn't you ever say hi before?" question....skittles_lm said:And I am sent to the "just a few posts" pile, am I? *sob* and here I thought this meant something to you! *sniffle*

I often wind up feeling.... like just "one of the masses", if you can understand what I'm saying. like I thought I had a connection with someone or something and then I realize that I'm just one of dozens of guys flirting with some pretty female online.
so, for the most part I have started trying to stay in my own little world here... unless I get incredibly bored or something strikes my fancy... like your "save me from myself" title. I stick to this thread or some of the trivia/music/movie threads.
but anyway....
I know I'm weird and take things way too seriously.
back to music..... I saw styx for free last july 4th.... no dennis deyoung, but they were still pretty good. the new guy they had singing for them sounded almost just like him. who else have you seen?

wow... you're into heavy heavy, aren't you? I've heard of and heard most of those except trivium, 6ox gloves and zebrahead. pearl jam was the only seattle band that I really liked at all..... I won't give you my opinion of nirvana, it might just get me that verbal beatdown we were talking about last night.skittles_lm said:Well, it's a decent list, where to start? Let's start from the beginning. Nirvana, Metallica, Pantera, Danzig, Pearl Jam (can you tell I'm from WA?), Rob Zombie, Ozzy, Godsmack, Trivium, White Zombie, Tool, Zebrahead, 6ox gloves(heard of them? they are from where I live now), assorted other small time bands and lots of DJs... there are more, but it is early here! I need more coffee and another cigarette.
And you are not consigned to the masses, sweets. Hell, you didn't even flirt with me! Not that I think you shouldn't (ahem, I am waiting) but it makes you stand out from the pack of wolves, you know? Do you need mroe of an ego stroking? Let me know, I wuld be happy to oblige...![]()

sometimes I wish I was a little more open-minded musically.... maybe it's just that I'm old and set in my ways. if I was more open-minded, tho, I might end up listening to rap or something, and that would never do.![]()
oh, a few more of my faves.... (gotta try to even it up and mention a few you might not know besides dada): atlanta rhythm section, gary moore, triumph and shooting star.
p.s.
I did flirt with you a little bit... you've just forgotten or I'm not any good at it. lol.
nope... it was in this very thread, when we were talking about your previous av and how "predatory" it was. that whole verbal beatdown/oral skills thing was flirting.... I thought. who knows? no biggie... right now I'm pondering whether or not I'd want you to bite me. I'm guessing I'd probably let you do anything you wanted to. I'm easy like that.skittles_lm said:If it was the whole 'save me' thing, I was just taking you at your word, sweets. Try harder next time! You should check out 6oz Gloves, they're pretty good for a local band goes big-time in these parts.
And no, let's not go there with Nirvana... that is home turf sentimental stuff for me, and I bite. You wouldn't want that now would you?
Would you?
