it's been kind of a weird day for me. I was supposed to be off today, but I switched with someone so I could work.... I really didn't wanna have too much time to lay around and think today, because it's my dad's birthday. he's been dead 20 years.... I probably should be over it by now, but I still miss him. I usually have a tough time this time of year, from may 19 (the day he died) up until about father's day.
the thing is.... now that I'm sitting here with nothing going on, nothing to distract me..... I don't feel nearly as bad as I thought I would. I still miss him, but I'm not sitting here all teary-eyed like I have sometimes in the past.
I guess that should be a good thing, but in a way it just feels like something is slipping away. I have enough trouble remembering him already.... is he going to be gone at some point?
sorry... I know it's bad to try to talk about real emotions here. "there goes stupid marty, being serious again." ahh, well.... if you wanna hang out here ya gotta take your chances. I try to be fun, too, but I can't eliminate my sensitive side altogether.

I'm sorry Moon ::hugs:: It's like that with me around when my grandpa died. I was there so it had a real effect on me, that whole time of year has me on edge...mrtnmoon said:
