Hey Moon Man, cool place ya got here :D Just no moonwalkin, okay? :D
well... I could make the argument that every time I take a step I'm moonwalking..... but I won't. don't worry, I'm not nearly coordinated enough to moonwalk in the sense that you mean. it'd probably be funny to watch me try, tho...

I will keep that in mind. The posts i have seen from you have always been interesting and often thought provoking, even the ones you may have classed as brambling ones.

So i am looking forward to keeping a watch on what goes on in here.

the amazing race is on tonight. I really dug this show when I started watching it... it gave me a chance to see some places I'll never see and do some things I'll never do without even leaving the couch.

here's what I don't like about the show....

instead of having a team I can root for, it's became more a matter of deciding which team I hate the least. that can apply to other reality shows, too... I also watch survivor and big brother. there used to be at least one person I liked, but now almost everyone on these shows acts like such an asshole that rather than wanting someone to win I have to figure out who I find the least objectionable.

that usually boils down to rooting for the hot chicks, and least until they get eliminated. truth be told, some of them are such bitches I can't root for them no matter how hot they are... that doesn't stop me from thinking about fucking them until they get voted off, tho. ;)

the other big thing I don't like about the amazing race is... I'm not sure how to put this.... I've read enough things here and other places to know that while people in other countries might like americans on an individual basis, there can be a tendency towards thinking we're a nation of self-centered jerks, to put it mildly.

seeing the contestants on the amazing race certainly reinforces that image, for the most part. I don't know what gets left on the cutting room floor, but the behavior that makes it to air is appalling.

you're in another country, dickweed.... there's no reason to expect that your cab driver is going to speak english and you shouldn't get pissed at him because you can't make him understand what you're trying to say. no, talking louder won't help. he's not deaf, he's nigerian.

a lot of them also seem to think just because they know a few words of spanish or french, that'll work no matter what country they're in. sorry, charlie, but gracias probably doesn't mean "thank you" in thailand. it'd be so cool to see one of these people inadvertently say something that's really insulting in another language and get bitch-slapped.

then there's the way the people on the show treat each other, even their teammates... bickering and back-stabbing. that's to be expected, I guess... but the teams on the race are connected somehow. married, dating, siblings, friends, parent-child. especially the married couples... I always wonder if they act like that in real-life. if they do, why the fuck are they married? they sure don't act like they love each other.

special note that it's usually the men that are acting like the biggest assholes. I almost always wonder if they'd be giving their wives beat-downs if there weren't cameras around.

but still....

it gives me a chance to see some places I'll never see and do some things I'll never do, without even leaving the couch. the amazing race is on tonight.

I don't do coffee... I get my caffeine from diet dr. pepper. might seem pointless, given that I was eating donuts, but.... what can I say? I'm a man of contradictions. ;)

off to work for me. have a good day.

morning, VN. lovely avatar. didn't want you to think I was ignoring you... I know that's one of your pet peeves. have a good day.
Morning mrt

I just got finished watching lost and I am so pissed. don't read this if you haven't seen it yet.

libby's dead. so is ana-lucia, but I don't really give a fuck about that. I'm pissed that libby died.

here's the background, if you don't watch the show....
there's a dude named hurley.... he's probably the gentlest, most sensitive male character on the show. he's not always too bright, but he's funny. unfortunately, he's also fat and he's stuck on an island where most of the other guys look like models. so, hurley's fucked. actually, he's not fucked, and that fucking sucks.

libby is the one female that has shown any interest in him... they've been hanging around together some and the show kind of hinted at a romantic attraction. I mean, it was obvious that hurley had the hots for libby... but does she have the same feelings? he finally got the nerve to ask her out on a "date" and lo and behold she said, "yes."

then some asshole shoots her and she fucking dies. there must be some kind of unwritten rule in tv land that fat people aren't allowed to be happy, at least in a romantic sense. especially if the object of their affection is "normal" sized. all fat people are good for is comic relief, or as characters to be pitied.

sure, there are some sitcoms where fat guys are allowed to have hot wives, but those guys are generally portayed as buffoons. in a drama series, which are in theory more "realistic", no fat person is allowed to be in a loving, romantic relationship for any length of time.

kiss my fat ass, hollywood.

hmmmm... it was fun while it lasted. now I think I'm on my way to dying that quick death I predicted.

yeah.... the hippies kind of annoyed the hell out of me at first. they seem to be a couple of pretty decent dudes, tho, so now I want them to win.

wow... do you watch any TV? (besides nascar, I mean. ;))

Yes but I hate sitcoms. You just start watching and it's done. I seldom watch network TV.
