i have decided to share a poem that i wrote earlier today. tis my take on life for so many reasons. i wonder if any of you feel the same, or what your take on life is. i personally have grown to cynically see it as a sick twisted little game. heres my poem. i've entitled it.... hopelessness.

the horrible png of hopelessness
has seeped into my soul.
is there any end to the turmoil?
as the light fades again,
i ponder our choices and plans.
another disappointment, another need;
another tear shed in futility.
the harder we try, the further we fall.
the long hard journey to escape
these ill fated bonds torment my thoughts.
plagued with frustration and dread,
we live on, in our pursuit of hopeless dreams.

theres good days and theres bad days but theres always hopelessness. i'm just fucking sick of it. know what i mean?
i guess you just live for the good days, is about al lyou can do. do you agree?

Life Is Simple

You come into it alone (unless you are a twin or over)
Time pass
You go out of it alone (unless you are on a jumbo-jet and heading right into WTC)

i'm not always so harsh an dcynical its just one of those days. i just get so damn frustrated. i have a hopefully pretty fun weekend ahead of me so i'm sure it'll perk up for a little bit at least.

Make it french vanilla on a waffle cone. Yummy.

I don't believe in hopelessness. There's always hope, there's always love. We just have to persevere.

I'm rather cynical most days, but, no offense, all of a sudden I feel like an optimist in comparison.

Anyhow, many have reflected on life in less than optimistic tones, including:

Robert Browning said life is just a stuff to try the soul's strength on.

Charlie Chaplin said life is a tragedy when seen in close up, but a comedy in long shot.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said we are always getting ready to live, but never living.

Samuel Johnson said human life is everywhere a state in which much is to be endured and little to be enjoyed.

And, finally, John Lennon said life is what happens to us while we are making other plans.

Sometimes you gotta say, "What the fuck."

This gets me through the days.

How do you do through the nights? ''Need a fuck''?

no offense taken, thanks for the great quotes.

the most annoying thing about today is i can't seem to get in a good mood and i know that even if tomorrow is a good day the next may be bad. and i've given myself a migraine over it. i used to be ablet o sedate myself, but being pregnant i can't i'm so fucking irked. ack! just needed to get that out of my system.
hopefully another poem will hit me and i'll have to write it down and then once its down i'll feel emotinally drained and be able to sleep. hmm, one can only hope.

out of curiosity......being brutally honest what does anyone think of my poem? i wrote it for my own sanity but sometimes i like to find out what others think. if htey hate it i want to know, if they love it, it makes me smile. i personally like "hopelessness" but only because it flowed out of my so freely and it helped me deal with things today. so be brutally, sincerely honest, what do you think?

I understand Misti............

Silent Regret

The absence of one's heart.
Fear and anxiety gnawing at your gut.
Your chest is on fire and your mind swims in circles.
Stunned and dazed, you walk without a destination.
The depression fills your body,
and you lose the will to live alone with unrequitted love.

Once apon a time, I thought love was a thing of unattainable joy.
Now I see love is a reality.
Something of desperation and depression.
Love is something that is hard to find yet so very easy to lose.
It is something to be recognized before it is lost.

So I cry, I weep for a hundred years.
Not a tear is shed, not a word is said.
perhaps another time things may have been different.
No love lost and no hearts broken.
If the pain is too much to live with,
why live with the pain.
Life becomes a mad drive of a hundred miles an hour on a winding road.
Looking for the perfect tree to kiss.
The last of a lover's embrace, to the death.
I turn the wheel.
simple, isn't it.
A life is gone while another love begins anew somewhere else.

Regret is a steady stream of memories.
A familiar word that triggers a vision of a happier time.
It is the loneliness in knowing that it could have been prevented,
with a few simple words.
Regret is misinterpreted love mixed with a jealous afterthought.

After reading Watchmen I really see life as a joke. Life is a sick joke but still a joke. Its full of false words and empty promises.

i've never read the watchmen. tis it any good?

oh empty promises, very good choice of words, dealing with that right now too. grrrr.

i wish it wasn't such a mean spirited joke. i think tis odd that the "life is great" thread started shortly after this one did and to see so many happy ppl responding is nice yet aggravting at hte same time. theres just anohter side to the coin i guess. i wonder which side i'll be on tomorrow.

Get a Harley...

Trust me, you'll never have those types of thoughts again. Until you ride a Harley-Davidson, you wouldn't believe anything else I'd say. It's better than any psychiatrist, drug, sexual partner, and it really helps you develop a healthy view of life.
*A side benefit..they don't call it a "Milwaukee Vibrator" for nothing! :D :rose:

Now, I'll be the 1st to tell you that life is cruel, &, I have to deal with alot of tough deals, but, I agree. You deal with em as best you can. Even when they seem like impossible odds.

Life sucks for about 80 years, then your dead for the rest of eternity.... pretty shitty deal.

The meaning of life is...

...well, to tell the truth, I don't know the meaning of life. I do know, however, that you don't have a long tome to spend in this world. So do what makes you happy, and don't worry about the rest, because it will all work itself out eventually.

I don't mean to be flippant or sound irresopnsible, it's just that I've come to accept that worrying about things I can't change (like the WTC, for example) and problems that might come up, but rarely do, just takes up time that you could be spending doing something you enjoy, whatever that may be.

Honestly, the world would be a lot more tolerable if people would just lighten up a little.

taht doesn't sounds irresponsible at all. i full well agree with you about doing what makes you happy. thats the way i try to live my life. now if only i could just forget about all the irksome aspects. i try to stay postiive but when i'm negative. i'm very negative.

having a better time of things by the way. :)

thanks so much for your input!
