 You are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO wicked! I'll bring you some when I come see you.

He's only making a big deal out of it because he didn't think I could cook. *rolls eyes* Just like he didn't know I knew anything about guitars, or pagans, or communists.

This pedestal's a bit small...

I will wisely decline to comment here as I can only get in trouble. I can say I did move 1000+ miles to be here.

This is wisdom born of experience. That translates to: I have fucked up enough to know when to shut up. :D

1/2 to 1 cup chopped onion (depending on what you feel like)
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped fresh tomato
1 cup chopped ham (or bacon or turkey or whatever)
1/2 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
a handful of fresh cilantro, chopped
1 cup shredded mozarella cheese (or whatever cheese is in the fridge)
salt, pepper, tarragon, oregano
blob of butter or margarine
uncooked pie crust in a pie pan
eggs
1/2 and 1/2

saute the onions in the butter until translucent. Add the pepper and mushrooms and continue cooking over a med heat until the mushrooms cook down. Add the ham to warm.

Sprinkle 1/2 the cheese in the bottom of the pie crust. Pour the onion mixture over the cheese. Beat enough eggs and cream to nearly fill the rest of the pie shell. Sprinkle remaining cheese over onions mixture. Add spices to egg/cream mixture and pour into pie shell. Sprinkle tomato & cilantro on top (make it pretty!) Cook in oven at 400 for about 15 min, then reduce heat to 325-350 (depending on your oven and the pie pan) for 40, checking doneness by inserting a knife in the center. When knife comes out clean it's done. You might want to let sit and cool a little before cutting (helps it firm up).
