"You're a slayer."

Jenna couldn't believe this. She was just a high school senior when she found out about her destiny. It wasn't what she wanted. She wanted a normal life, and to be a normal girl. Not some girl who spends her days fighting vampires, demons and monsters.

(Not done yet. Will finish this part soon)

She lived in Los Angeles, unaware that the last slayer, Buffy Summers had died fighting a powerful demon, making her the new slayer. Jenna trained daily with her watcher, a man named Thomas Barker, in his early fifties. She never got to spend time with friends until she started at UCLA. Now her watcher stayed back, letting her work on her own.

It was just another night of patrols when she met a vampire different from all the others. One who never wanted to see another slayer after falling in love with one who now lay dead in the ground. His name was Angel, a vampire who had his soul restored through a gypsy curse.

Jenna walked through the streets late that night, stake hidden in her sleeve. She was looking for vampires, hoping to kill a few before heading off to a party someone had invited her to. As she turned the corner, she saw him, fighting a group of men. When she caught sight of his face, she smiled and ran into battle.

She did a roundhouse kick, knocking out the two men easily before turning to the vampire. She pulled out her stake smirking and attacked. He was a good fighter, stronger and faster than anyone she'd fought before. But she was good too, dodging every punch he threw.

(This is still open to one male)

Angel’s eyes rolled into his head with a light shaking in disbelief. How could this happen again to him? What was the chances he asked himself as he blocked the upper jab of the slayer. He came around with his own right hand hook, only to be blocked himself. “Nice.” he whispered as he ducked down to avoid the stake that was aiming for his neck. “Vampires need a stake in the heart.. Just to let you know.” He added as he attempted to roundhouse her but again she was very versatile and ducked down herself. “Double nice.” he laughed till she managed to instantly come with a roundhouse as she ducked down. The power of this slayer was impressive as he picked himself up off of the ground.

Wiping his lip as it bled slightly, “Whoa, nice! Very nice.” he moved around in a slow motion circle around her, “So where is the Scooby Clan?” he kept a sharp eye on those powerful legs of hers. They were a lot stronger than Buffy’s . “Well, Your legs are stronger than Buffy’s but your upper strength is a little less then hers ways, but you can over come that with training. Which you need to discuss this with your watcher.” He moved back a little hoping to draw her in so that he could introduce her to his roundhouse. “So are we going to dance all night or are we going to get serious here?”

His eyes narrowed as if he had spotted something wrong, but in face there wasn’t anything wrong he just couldn’t shake the feeling that this slayer was HOT. He shook his head slightly as trying to figure out why he took time to check her out when she could easily kill him. “By the way, Your very attractive if I should be so brave to say so.” He eased his stance up as if he was tired of the fight. “Say we should go and get a hamburger, I’m hungry.” he nodded his head in a yeah lets do it fashion…

“Nice.” Jenna was growing frustrated as he managed to dodge her attacks. “Vampires need a stake in the heart.. Just to let you know.”

"Stabbing you in the neck will hurt like hell though," she said as she dodged his kick, rolling back for a moment and swiftly getting to her feet before doing another roundhouse kick aimed for his face. “Double nice.” Jenna smirked as she made contact and he fell to the ground before her. But he soon got up, wiping his bleeding lip.

“Whoa, nice! Very nice.” She watched him, gripping her stake as he began to circle her. He was tough, a strong fighter. “So where is the Scooby Clan?”

"I don't play well with others," she said, shifting her weight, analyzing his movements, trying to figure out the best way to attack him. “Well, Your legs are stronger than Buffy’s but your upper strength is a little less then hers ways, but you can over come that with training. Which you need to discuss this with your watcher. So are we going to dance all night or are we going to get serious here?”

“By the way, Your very attractive if I should be so brave to say so.” Jenna rolled her eyes, annoyed by the flirting. She wanted to get this done so she could do something normal college girls did. “Say we should go and get a hamburger, I’m hungry.”

"Sorry, I don't date vampires." She did another roundhouse kick, hitting him in the chest, making him fall back. "So you knew Buffy? How come she didn't kill you before? From what I hear, she didn't let many get away."

“Ouch, That’s cheat, striking a man while he is talking!” Angel stood up and brushed his jeans off. “Now, here you go destroying a nice little conversation that we had going. Do you do this all the time?” he then utilized his ability of speed and moved quickly toward her and managed to back hand her. “Sweet.” He chuckled as he backed up and took a stance. Knowing full well that the only thing he managed to do with that backhand was piss her off.

“Oh, you asked me about Buffy, Well let me tell you , she had this nice little heart tattoo right here.” his fingers pointed to his left breast. “Yeah, it was on the underneath part of her breast. I enjoyed lifting her beast up and kissing it on a regular basis.” He moved back a little not wanting to feel another kick from her, “Do you have one? Care to show it to me.” He smiled at her “Now what do you say we stop fighting and go get something to eat. I am really hungry.”

A noise in the shadows caught his attention just in time to duck down and avoid from being hit by an arrow. He turned toward Jenna, “Well looks like the Scooby Doo clan is here. Time to go.” he turned and leaped over the cemetery wall and vanishing into the shadows..

"Ouch, That’s cheat, striking a man while he is talking!”

"Sorry, I don't play fair. That's no fun."

“Now, here you go destroying a nice little conversation that we had going. Do you do this all the time?”

"Well, I don't normally talk to the vampires that I'm about to kill..." before she could say anything else, she fell to the ground, glaring up at the vampire who had just slapped her. “Sweet.”

Jenna stood, still holding the stake. "Really, that's the way you guys fight now. A wimpy little slap? This is starting to get boring. Try and actually do some damage. Give me a challenge."

“Oh, you asked me about Buffy, Well let me tell you , she had this nice little heart tattoo right here.” his fingers pointed to his left breast. “Yeah, it was on the underneath part of her breast. I enjoyed lifting her beast up and kissing it on a regular basis.” Jenna stopped, watching him closely. He had seen Buffy naked? Did that mean? They had to have... “Do you have one? Care to show it to me.” He smiled at her “Now what do you say we stop fighting and go get something to eat. I am really hungry.”

"Angel?" she said, wondering if he knew what had happened to Buffy. If he knew she was dead. He had loved her, from what she had heard of the two of them.

Before Jenna could say another word, an arrow flew past her, nearly hitting Angel. “Well looks like the Scooby Doo clan is here. Time to go.”

"Wait!" she sighed as he ran away, just as her watcher and two friends, Alex and Kris came running towards her, her watcher holding a crossbow and her friends holding stakes. "Interesting," she said.

Barker looked confused. "What's interesting?"

"I think I just met Angel."

"Is that... ummm, Buffy's old vampire boyfriend. Got his soul back through a gypsy curse," Kris asked.

"That's the guy."

Barker interrupted the two girls. "Jenna, are you sure that's who it was?"

"I could be wrong, but we should probably check it out. There were some rumors about him being in LA. Come on guys, let's not waste the rest of the night. There's got to be some party still going on."

Before Barker could stop them, they were off to a club, where she changed and started dancing. It was a good night, but she couldn't get Angel out of her mind. She needed to find him again; he could be very valuable when it came to fighting demons. And he was pretty attractive.

Angel didn’t go far for wanting to find out all he could about this new slayer. Her fighting ability was slightly better than Buffy’s, but she was slightly weaker in strength which wouldn’t take her long to be just as strong as she was. The other things that he noticed wasn’t really that should be studied for it didn’t help if this slayer was going to be trouble. Although it did help in wanting to follow and learn more about her. And as before, he had to deal with a Scooby Doo clan. He didn’t know anything about them either and that was something he also had to do. He didn’t care about the watcher for his ability to use a crossbow was obvious that he hasn’t been keeping up on his skills.

His gaze fell upon the group as they left the cemetery and commuted across the city to a club of exquisite taste. It had good music, filled with people so movement in the crowd undetected was possible. Straightening his clothes he made his way into the establishment. It was crowded as he thought it would be. His orbs scanned over the crowd searching for her or one of her Doo’s.

It wasn’t long before he spotted her. Her body flowed smoothly and her curves were more obvious now than they were when they were battling. He could now take his eyes to parts he wasn’t concerned about then. His mind began to compare and well this one was unfortunately much higher on the wow scale. Yes he loved Buffy deeply but not seeing her in a couple of months he heard rumors that she was bedding spike and that put a sour taste in his…WAIT.. If she is here that means Buffy was … Anger flashed as it has dawned upon him that Buffy must be dead.

He swallowed hard and fought back some feelings, but when he heard about spike and her he let out most of the hurt and love he had for her slip away. But still her being dead hurt and there wasn’t anything that could stop it. Taking a deep breath he resumed his concentrating upon the new slayer. Which at the moment has captured his male interest.

Moving through the crowd and keeping an eye on her, which was a mistake for the way she was moving excited him. Her curves were showing in all angles and begging to be touched. He moved so that he could see face and realized that her eyes were closed. “Perfect.” he muttered under his breath while he took a step in front of her and moved along with her. He slowly moved closer to where they were almost touching.

Jenna moved with the music, smiling, forgetting about everything else. The band was really good, and the crowded dance floor didn't bother her. In fact, it felt nice to be surrounded by people, having fun. She felt someone behind her, dancing close to her. "You going to keep dancing behind me, or do you want to dance with me," she said turning around, smiling.

"Angel!" Jenna looked up at him surprised. She hadn't expected him to follow her into the club. He had run away pretty fast, leaving her before she could ask him anything. "So, umm... Still got that soul of yours, or are you pure vampire now? Because that might be nice to know."

Angel watched the curves of this one’s body as she glided with the heavy tempo of the music, losing herself in her dance as it appeared to Angel that it relaxed her. He swallowed hard as he remembered Buffy dancing and she was no where near as good and sexy as this one was. He felt himself wanting to reach out and touch her hips and move with her, but he didn’t, he didn’t want to get anything started with this one. No that’s not right, for if it was then why was he here watching and had this wanting to touch her.

Then she spoke and asked if, she thought it was someone else, he was going to dance behind her or with her. A smile came over his face as she whipped around and looked at him. A big surprise upon her face.

“Well if your asking me, Which you must for you said my name just now. I would rather do both if I have a say in the matter.” he briefly replied before she hit him with another question. He slightly tilted is head to the side and smiled at her, “Well why do you investigate me and find out for yourself.” The look in his eyes told all..

“Well if your asking me, Which you must for you said my name just now. I would rather do both if I have a say in the matter.” Jenna blushed a little, pulling a strand of hair away from her face and behind her ear. “Well why do you investigate me and find out for yourself.”

Jenna smiled and moved closer, dancing with him, her hand moving up and around his neck. His skin was cold and smooth, but she didn't mind. He was pretty hot. "So, an Angel in the City of Angels. Did you decide to come here because of the name or another reason?"

The music slowed, and she swayed from side to side, never taking her eyes off of him. She was about a foot shorter than he was, but that didn't bother her too much. Nearby sat Kris and Alex, watching them.

"Who is that?"

"I don't know," Alex said, trying to figure out if he recognized the man. "But Jenna looks like she's pretty into him."

Angel watched her grove with the music, the curves of her body twisting ever so elegant brought a pain to him that bore no wounds that the eye could see. A smile came to his face as she moved closer to him, which brought no remorse from him. He felt some what brave by her actions and the words that she spoke to him, so he notched it up a bit and placed his hands upon her hips following her motions with his own.

“Well, There are reasons and now there are reasons.” He chuckled lightly not wanting to fully disclose why he was here, but letting her know that now he had another reason to be here. He continued to look up and down her body. His mind remembering the fighting style and realized that when she was fighting him she was dancing. He smiled big for he had found her inspiration, her temp was from the beat of the music.

He leaned into her, his body against hers and damn she felt good. He struggled to get a hold of himself. Taking a deep breath he whispered into her ear.. “ I know your secret.”

“Well, There are reasons and now there are reasons.” She smiled up at him, nodding. Still, no one had ever told her his whole story, what had happened after he had gotten his soul back. He was interesting, and very attractive. She moved her hips with the music, closing her eyes, resting her head on his chest.

“ I know your secret.”

"Oh really? What secret is that?" She touched his cheek, smiling. She wanted to kiss him so much, feel him touching her all over. She wanted to do something with him, anything. "You know, you look much better like this when you don't have your vampire face."

She was amazing for in just a few moments of dancing with her, they were getting close as if they were meant to be, or was it just an attraction to a slayer that hooks him all the time? He didn’t think on the subject too hard when she put her head upon his chest for it didn‘t matter now.

His hands moved up and took some of her long, red hair into his fingers. The soft, silky strands flowed graciously through his fingers when he pulled his hand away and it drifted back down along her neck. Her fragrance tantalized his sense of smell with each moment they made. He closed his eyes for a moment taking in the feel of her. It was a feeling much better than what he was feeling earlier.

He melted under her touch, his eyes looking down at hers. “You don’t play fair.” He whispered when he nuzzled her touching hand. A smile came to his thin lips, “Well, you know it’s a scare thing. Cant be scary with this mug.” He looked down at her.. “OH, about your secret…You fight with the grove of music.” he studied her face and instantly wanted to kiss her.. “I have this strange sensation of wanting to kiss you right now.” He whispered..

Jenna smiled as his fingers ran through her hair, caressing her, sniffing her. she continued dancing with him, closing her eyes and enjoying his touch.

You don’t play fair.”

"I never do. Where's the fun in that.

“Well, you know it’s a scare thing. Cant be scary with this mug.” He looked down at her.. “OH, about your secret…You fight with the grove of music.”

"Very poetic. You should be a writer," she said, smiling up at him.

“I have this strange sensation of wanting to kiss you right now.” He whispered.

"Then kiss me," she whispered back, using her hand to guide him down, her lips meeting his. Her kisses were gentle but passionate. She surprised herself. She wasn't exactly shy, but she wasn't the kind of girl to kiss someone she'd just met.

Angel was lost in that grand feeling of lust and desire for this slayer as much as he was with Buffy. That gray swirling mist clouds his mind and he wonders around blindly making rash decisions. This was one of those moments, he didn’t think everything through and reacted to impulse. He couldn’t get past her canny way about her, based on her fighting him in the cemetery. He couldn’t get over the firmness of her body, based on this dance. He couldn’t get past her beauty based on what he is gazing upon now.

“A writer? Me? No, I would end up killing all my readers due to my exceptional poetic writing skill.” he laughed noting her playful smile. She looked amazing to his eyes as he studied her face. Searching those gorgeous brown orbs.

He followed her hand and gently pressed his lips to hers. Her lips were soft and fueled enough to spark the sense of passion. His hands moved over and clasped her hips gently pulling her into him. He allowed the kiss to go deeper and fueled with more passion, his breathing deepened with the feelings that were beginning to erupt, “Jenna, We…” he pulled away looking at her but couldn’t say anything for he was feeling the sting of betraying Buffy. “I’m sorry.” He muttered as he slowly moved away, holding his hand up toward her shaking his head and hands in an attempt to remove the feelings that was flowing through him. He quickly turned and made his way through the crowd slowly heading toward the exit…

“A writer? Me? No, I would end up killing all my readers due to my exceptional poetic writing skill.” She laughed with him, grinning up at him.

Her heart fluttered as his lips met hers, gentle but strong. She felt his hands around her hips as he pulled her to his body. The crowd around them seemed to disappear, the noise fading into silence. Her blood felt like it was rushing to him, wanting him to drink from her.

“Jenna, We…” Jenna looked up at him as he pulled away. Something was wrong. He looked upset. She shouldn't have kissed him. Why did she do it? She didn't know him. “I’m sorry.” She stood still as he walked away, not looking her in the eye. She slowly walked to the table where her friends sat.

"Who's Mr. Tall Dark and Mysterious? Awfully rude to just leave like that," Kris spoke smiling at her.

Alex had a more serious look on his face. "Jenna, you should be more careful. I know you don't know that guy. Did he even tell you his name?"

"Angel."

"Shit Jenna. You're the slayer. You don't kiss vampires. You kill them. You haven't even known this one for a day and you're kissing him? He may have lost his soul or something. You don't know who he is."

Kris sighed and gave a small smile. "He's probably right. I mean, maybe we should do some research before we start making friends with Angel."

Jenna sighed and stood up. "Okay. Tomorrow night at five, my place?" They both nodded. "See you then. I'm kind of tired."

She walked outside deep in thought. The whole thing was complicated. Angel was going to affect her duties, that was for sure. She shouldn't have kissed him. She walked along not paying much attention to her surroundings, too busy thinking.

Angel didn’t go far, the conflict wasn’t with Jenna, it was with himself and the feelings he still held for Buffy. Even though she has passed on, he feels that guilt. He leaned back against the wall, hands shoved into his pockets. His thoughts drifted to Jenna. She was very attractive, her lips were soft and tantalizing, and her eyes were mesmerizing. He closed his eyes as he tilted his head back against the wall as well.

She was gone; she would want you to move on, to find happiness once more instead of brewing in the past that will never bring her back. Even if he does move on, she would still be in his heart, and he didn’t think that Jenna, if they were to become something, would ask him to forget her. Even if she did and he tried he would fail. She was part of him and always would be.

A rock skidding across the pavement brought his gaze down and over. His eyes focused upon Jenna she was walking away from the dance hall just moments after arriving. She seemed distant, foreboding, conflicted as he was. He pushed himself way from the wall and began to walk toward her when a shadow crossed her path and vanished in the darkness. He moved quickly to get to her. He didn’t know what it was, but he felt as if something was present and wasn’t friendly.

“Jenna,” he moved toward her, looking about but too late for from his right side a heavy fist sent him sideways crashing into a row of trash cans. The figure turned, it’s ancient face held a sense of power. It’s long white hair cascaded down over it’s shoulder, it’s eyes glowed red, changing to green. It’s suit was of old, but best of its time. He turned to face Jenna.

“So you are the slayer that has disrupted my domain.” he hissed, “It is time to cleanse my house once more.” his voice boomed with authority and power.

“Jenna."

She turned, hearing her name and a sudden crash. She looked up at the old, powerful figure staring down at her. Not a vampire or any demon she was familiar with. Although she was a skilled fighter, she had little experience as a slayer. She had been at the job for barely a year and she still needed to learn more.

“So you are the slayer that has disrupted my domain.” he hissed, “It is time to cleanse my house once more.”

Jenna sighed, kicking him square in the chest, knocking him back. "You know, I'm not having a great night. I was hoping to just head home and watch a movie before going to bed, but no, you have to come out and act all badass like you own this town. It's really annoying."

She picked him up and threw him back to the street before punching him repeatedly, never stopping for a moment. "You're really pissing me off, and you don't want to do that."

Suddenly she held him by the throat against the alley wall. "So, who are you and what do you want?" But Jenna didn't know what she was dealing with. These were ancient powers and he was not alone. This would not end after a single fight. This was not a battle. It was the beginning of a war

The figure smiled at her as if what she did to him was what he wanted. He tilted his head slightly and gazed at her. “young, stupid child. You time here is limited, those that you think are your friends will be the ones that brings an end to you. He laughed then bringing his arms upward with great strength breaking her grip. Bringing his hands together he lunged forward with both hands to the center of her chest sending her flying backwards a few feet before landing on her ass. The figure took the opportunity to vanish into the darkness.

Angel moved up to her, rubbing his shoulder. “Are you ok? And what the hell was that?” he extended his hand down to her. “I think we need to go somewhere and talk.” He looked into her eyes. “I think we both have things we want to say to each other without the company of others” He smiled at her before continuing. “ A cease fire for the moment?” he asked.

“young, stupid child. You time here is limited, those that you think are your friends will be the ones that brings an end to you."

Jenna gasped as he broke her grip. He was definitely much stronger than he looked. She yelped in pain as he hit her chest sending her flying. She hit the wall before falling to the ground, groaning. Who was this guy and what did he want? What did he mean about her friends?

She shut her eyes until she heard a voice. "Are you ok? And what the hell was that?”

"Am I dead? I think I see an angel," she said smiling. "And I have no clue. You ever seen him before, because I've never seen a thing like him. “I think we need to go somewhere and talk. I think we both have things we want to say to each other without the company of others. A cease fire for the moment?” he asked.

"I didn't know we were still fighting. My apartment's not far from here if you want to talk. And don't worry, I'm not trying to get you in my bedroom or anything." She wasn't sure what he felt about her, so she figured she should tread with caution

He shook his head at her statement, “Nope, but you might wish that you were if my bad feeling is correct.” he helped her up looking at her with studying eyes. She was extremely attractive, feisty, a bit of a smart ass but that was even enjoyable. “If there is an angel here its you.” He continued to look at her. His gaze wasn’t one of sexual content, but one of acceptance of the situation. “No, I havent seen him before but if he is what I think he is, We are in some heavy trouble.” he replied with a bit of unease.

He looked at her slightly shaking his head in agreement. “Yes, I believe we do. There are things that need to be said and cleared up so that we can move on and be prepared for whatever this thing is.” He looked away and into the darkness. He wasn’t sure how he felt about her so talking about it might help him define the feelings he does have for her.

“You are so bad.” he tapped her shoulder upon the comment of taking him to bed. “That might be our next battlefield.” he looked at her with a serious look. “We never know what talking might do? or bring about? are you sure you want to do this?” He reached over and tapped the wooden spike, ’You may have to use this after all.” he again looked at her with a serious grin upon his face. "But I would like to go to your place and talk. There are things that have to come out between us. Either for the good or the bad."

“Nope, but you might wish that you were if my bad feeling is correct. If there is an angel here its you.”*

Jenna blushed a little, wondering if he could see it in the dark. She brushed some hair out of her face, looking up at him.

“No, I havent seen him before but if he is what I think he is, We are in some heavy trouble.”

He seemed worried, and she knew he had seen a lot of bad things, including the end of the world, which had been prevented fortunately.

“Yes, I believe we do. There are things that need to be said and cleared up so that we can move on and be prepared for whatever this thing is.” She just nodded, wondering what was going on in his mind. Was it Buffy? Was he still thinking about her?

“You are so bad. That might be our next battlefield.” Jenna swallowed, unsure what he meant. But, had he thought about it? “We never know what talking might do or bring about. are you sure you want to do this? You may have to use this after all.”*

"What are you trying to say? That you might try and bite me?"

"But I would like to go to your place and talk. There are things that have to come out between us. Either for the good or the bad."

She nodded, motioning with her head to come with her. They walked for a while before reaching an apartment occupied by other students.

She heard several parties going on on the way to her apartment, drunks running around acting like idiots. "Sorry about this. College students act a little crazy sometimes." She opened her door, letting him into the small living room. She almost offered him a drink, but she wasn't sure he drank anything other than blood

Angel’s dark orbs fell upon Jenna while they walked down a few of the city’s dark streets and with each step he was wondering what the hell he was doing. He vowed never to allow himself to fall for another slayer for one day they all seem to die for evil continues to grow stronger with each new slayer that emerges. He pulled his gaze away from her and studied the shadows feeling as if something was lurking just out of sight but then again that was something that occurs everyday when evil is involved for it’s always lurking waiting for the right time to strike.

He looked over at her once more, the determination, the sure footing everything about her screamed the new slayer in town. He thought Buffy was strong and confident this one has her beaten hands down but again like the evil side the next one is stronger, wiser but yet only equal with the force that the other side produces. This vicious cycle must come to an end. Some how some way that is what must be the target of the slayer along with maintaining the balance.

He did his best to try and not notice the other qualities that she had but that was like asking water not to be wet. He took in her curves and the firmness of her body. Hell he even enjoyed the small battle that they fought earlier for just being near her aroused him, just like he was when Buffy was around. He shook his head for it was obvious that he was comparing the two and wondering if it would be better now then what it was then. He shook his head with his own discontent towards himself. What an asshole is mind muttered to itself.

The sound of heavy music, the smell of the parties was overbearing when they approached her dorm. A vampires dream resort here and he was surprised that there wasn’t any here already. That in itself made him feel uncomfortable, it was like maybe all the evil has been mustered around the Vampire elder that Jenna engaged just moments ago and was planning some sort of city wide invasion or ….His mind stopped and became fearful, that could be what is going on, He maybe grouping all the vampires together and making them one large army with one purpose. If that was the case the world was once again on the blink of devastation.

He pushed that though back a little for what had to happen next was the forces of good had to muster as well. Each one being on the same page and right now Jenna and himself was not on the same page and that had to happen before anything else. He smiled at her when they entered into her small apartment.

He turned to look upon her as she closed the door. “Jenna, I don’t know really where to start. We sorta jumped over the talking and moved right to the physical touching of our acquaintance.” he whispered his eyes moving up and down her almost on their own accord. His mind screaming that the talk can come afterwards, but the small voice of his voiced against that move for the moment. “What happened between us was a mistake. An attraction between a vampire and a slayer with just a slight twist to it.” he shook his head for he didn’t even know what he was saying and yet she was suppose too. “What I’m trying to say is …. Shit!” he muttered for all that was in his mind was taking her into his arms and make passionate love with her. He quickly turned from her. “We need to focus upon the Vampire Elder that you engaged this evening.” He forced himself to remove himself from the burning that was growing inside of him.
