Well, well!

My sweet little angel from Texas left such a sweet note here!!!!

SE, you know how much you mean to me. We have talked through many hard times together. I appreciate your continued friendship and you know mine is constantly there for you as well.

My father has been ill for about a year now. Hardening of the arteries and a stoke left him with severe dimensia and loss of speach and other motor control. He has been in a special care home for several weeks and finally passed just after midnight last night (Wed. Nov, 27, 2002). We are thankful he is no longer having to be in such a state. No serious pain was involved. Just the lack of speech and motor activity. He is at rest now, and my mom, who saw it through with him and kept him tended to everyday, is now able to finally rest. It was very hard on her.

Thank you each one for your sweet remarks and seniments!
I didn't know if I should post anything about this on the site.
I emailed as many as I thought might care about this. I hope I did not leave anyone out that would feel offended by that. Thanks for your support and love!

Yes, I have a wonderful faith concerning the reserrection. He looked forward to that. He is resting peacefully awaiting Christ's soon return. We are blessed to have that belief that Christ taught us by His life and deeds during his earthly stay.

Thank you for your sweet help and encouragement to me during my stay here at Lit. I will always be very grateful for all you have done. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

That sort of injury has taken so many unexpectedly. I am truly sorry to hear that. Strokes are blood clots that get lodged in any critical blood vessel. Then, the area behind that clot is starved for blood and oxygen, thus causing the death of some cells in that area. I told this for anyone not familiar with the damage that occcurs during this problem. Not all strokes are life-threatening.
But they can be helped some if caught soon enough.

Sounds like his was one of those that has no way to be helped.
Very tragic.

I just wanted to say i'm sorry for your loss. My father had a stroke a year and a half ago. He has made a fairly good recovery. Still the right side hasn't gained all function back. But he is alive and as healthy as can be. He is now taking medicine and on a diet. He is grateful. He is doing everything in his power to prevent another. I pray for you and your family peace and comfort.

I can only imaging the grief at the death of a parent, I have not experienced it yet but have helped so many friends through it. I am so sorry for your loss.
