Can someone explain to me WHY we do this whole time changing thing? I enjoy it in the summer when it's light outside until nearly 10, but without the time change, it'd still be dark til nearly 9. Is it all a conspiracy to make us work more?

I think it's a matter of trying to piss us off. That's all it does for me. :(

My mom who is a farmer daughter *snicker*

Explained this too me once.

According to her and what her father told her they did it to give farmers more day light during the spring-early fall to work. Of course the time of day does not matter to farmers because they work from sun up to sun down.

Now I think we keep it around because other wise kids would be waiting around when it was dark for the school bus.

So it IS a conspiracy???

Doesn't really make a difference to me. I'll still be waiting til 1am to bring in the hay from the field so I don't have a heatstroke.

The reason that it's done is to save energy! Yes I know it sounds crazy, but it's true. Imagine all those houses that don't turn the light on before an hour later than usual. The amounts of energy that's saved because of it is actually quite a bit.

Move to Arizona, and you never have to worry about it again. Except when calling out of state.

Well, you certainly know the answers to any question! I downloaded ICQ 2002a... and it worked! I got all of my contacts back, except for the ones that I just recently added.

it was 61051925.

My stupid reply of the day:

Co-ordinated Universal Normal Time.

Just one time all the way round the earth.
