My stories and my stumbling blocks

Well, I've been submitting stories here at Lit...but none all that recently. I've come upon a writer's block and I don't know if it's because I'm trying to write in a style that I'm uncomfortable with or if it's just me.

The feedback I have received has been positive but a lot of people have said I need more dirty sex scenes. I know this is the GLBT room, but I'm wondering if indeed the requests for less "romantic lesbian erotica" and more "dirty sex girl-on-girl" action is coming from everyone or the people who are fascinated by f/f sex.

Comments? Help?

I think you need to decide what your goal is in writing your stories.

If it is for your own edification, ignore the criticism about the amount or style of the sex scenes.

If you are looking primarily to entertain an audience, give some thought to which audience you want to appeal to, those who are looking for well written stories, or those who just want a good quick wank. Then decide how much you are willing to compromise to please that audience.

I don't see it as a situation in which you can make a "wrong" decision, as long as you feel satisfied with your own final product.
