My second favourite beer....

Clever advertising. Is the stuff any good?
It's quality. On the slightly-dark-ish-slighly-bitter-ish side.

Hmmm

Makes me wonder how the beer got it's name in the first place.

You know those Catholic priests . . . .

One of the Bishop's Finger adverts was withdrawn after complaints to the Advertising Standards Authority.

That is usual for Shepherd Neame. They introduce a new batch of adverts and ONE of them will be too rude/offensive to be acceptable. When it is banned Shepherd Neame get many mentions in the media - free and it kick-starts the advertising campaign.

Their Spitfire adverts on London's underground became so popular they were being stolen. The German Ambassador was asked about his opinion of the advertising. He was too wise a bird to say anything except that they seemed amusing...

Bump *Hic*

Shepherd Neame is Britain's oldest brewer and still good at it.
