I'm with Sexy Girl, these fights are weird to watch, especially when you like all sides and you're not exactly sure what they're talking about. (That was my rant.)

I'm not up on all of the issues in this thread, but I do care if people misrepresent themselves. As far as the whole ganging up to "expose" someone thing goes, I would want people to tell me if they thought I was full of shit. Of course it would bother me immensely but at least I could defend myself. I would be very upset to later find out people had thought my pictures were fake for months, yet said nothing. Maybe it would be considered sparing someone's feelings, but if they are full of shit their feelings don't deserve sparing, and if they're real it gives them the choice to prove it.

Lets face it, unless you had a fire, every single soul here has at least 50 pictures of themselves. If you can scan one you can scan them all, proving you're who you say you are isn't that difficult.

I really don't care to read what they have to say either. But they usually keep it within the political threads where the rest of us who don't give a goddamn flying fuck know to avoid.

They're are probably lots more liberals at Lit then conservatives... however I do believe the conservatives are a lot more vocal. Therefore it appears there are more conservatives...

Most of you who've been around for a while know my attitude. I have lots of opinions on many of these "serious" issues discussed - these political issues. But I also know that most people do not have discussions or debates - most people lecture. And that is just as true here at Literotica as anywhere else. I seldom see a thread where people listen to what other people say - TRY TO UNDERSTAND THEIR VIEWPOINT - and respond in a meaningful way. Rather - just about EVERYONE of you - liberals and conservatives alike look to nitpick at every tiny detail in someone's argument and then declare victory when you can find minor flaw in something or find that someone - GOD FORBID - actually contradicted themselves. (Who the fuck actually has the time to read back over all these posts?) And virtually NO ONE focuses on the bigger issue - looks for compromise or agreement - tries to find common ground from which to build an understanding. Its all about one upmanship.

That's why I almost always avoid the political and the "serious" threads. You guys want serious - go to "The Well" or one of the other web sites where they have actual political and social debate. Learn something about debate - then come back here and start talking about the actual issues without feeling the need to rip someone a new asshole. Almost every debate around here ends up not talking about the subject at hand but about the personalities involved and then devolves into name calling.

And I've been around long enough to know who is bullshitting, who is baiting, who is game-playing and who doesn't have a fucking clue. And I ignore them - at least on the "serious" subjects. Its just not worth the stress. Maybe some of you thrive on it. Maybe you like going to bed with heartburn. Or maybe somehow you gain a feeling of self worth by thinking you've won a debate with someone just as clueless as you are.

THERE ARE NO WINNERS! At least until you understand that the only meeting ground is consensus.

BTW - this is for MOST (not all) of you conservatives and MOST (not all) of you liberals too. Feel free to exclude yourself from my rant if it will cause you stress.

I've posted a reply to this bs and these accusations of lying on a thread called "Assholes in the Holy Wars." The cookie monster ate my identity, so don't start calling me a troll. I am very vexed at being called a liar. I have never lied at lit, and I don't lie in RL. I venture to say that the wild theorizing as to why and how I MUST be lying are typical of the right-wing thinking that predominates in this land. It is hysterical, paranoid, visionary, extremely presumptious, and flat-out wrong. And this from people who attacked me because I thought Killer lived in Kentucky!

Thanks to Lavender and Siren for defending me in my absence. I truly appreciate it. I wish the others would tell that other string whether or not they think I'm a liar.
