So I say goodbye to the last kitten, then Manu and I take a leisurely drive along the coast. We stop by Robertos. I start to order my usual - a Lite burrito - then I say fuck it! I'm celebrating. So I get a combo #1 - a chicken taco, a cheese enchilada, and a chile relleno, all covered in guac, pico de gallo, shredded cheddar, shredded lettuce, and sour cream. To top it off, I order a quesadilla to split with Manu.

I get home and plow right in. I hesitate slightly at first, but then remind myself - I'm celebrating, damnit! I finish about half of my food (yes, more than 3 bites, Siren! ) before I can't eat another bite. Then I lay down on the bed and sleep for an hour and a half.

Wake up and it's 11 pm. I have 70 stories in the queue that need editing. I feel that 5 lbs of food beginning to appear on my thighs. My conscience starts nagging at me for my tardiness and my gluttony. What do I do? I go make myself a big bowl of Ben & Jerrys Chunk Monkey, in honor of little monkeys who are spending their first night in their new homes. I sit down at the computer and spend 15 minutes writing an inane post for the BB when I should be updating the site. Because I'm celebrating. And sometimes it's okay to be irresponsible. So there.

And here I thought I was very polite trying to teach him the basics of retirement plans, considering the way he started the thread referring to me.

Don't assume that me pointing out that someone who started that thread above couldn't possibly have been employed on Wall Street has anything to do with whether he is liberal or conservative. I don't care what his political views are. It has everything to do with his trying to put words in my mouth on various threads, and his lying to try to give his opinion more weight with work experience I am sure he doesn't have. That's what I find to be ugly- lies to support his position.

But, people on the board can of course judge for themselves whether they believe someone who worked on the Street could have started the thread above. My vote is "no."

By the way, he hasn't taken me up on the $100 I offered to him to find any post of mine which said what he attributed to me. That's because there isn't one. I haven't even mentioned the fact that he also called me a communist. I just gave up at that point.
