I took a quick look on-line. I found inkcartridges.com. I then picked a Canon printer at random. Check this out:

Better than HP, which says that refilled ink cartridges voids any and all warranty. :rolleyes:

And the moral of the story is to ensure an adequate sufficiency of newspaper to cover things like the desk top with, & move the phone somewhere else.
Or
do it in the garden where the colours might look more appropriate.

And do not forget to re-boot your PC after removing old programmes and BEFORE installing (or re-installing) new ones !

Also better than Epson. Epson ink cartridges have a built-in copy counter that has to be reset before the printer will recognize even the full amount of original ink, let alone any added ink. :rolleyes: Resetting the counter is a pain without purchasing a dedicate cartridge resetting device.


One other problem with some Epson printers; If you don't print at least one page every few days, the ink dries in the print head and no amount of new ink will print anything.

The reinstalled printer works fine. I just wish I could remember where I stashed the extra colour ink cartridge. I'm sure it'll be waiting atop the printer when I return from the store with the new one in hand.
