My plan has failed :/

I tried a repeat of a plan that worked for me in the past...bought an extra ticket to My Fair Lady on Saturday (gives me a pretense to ask a girl out and a deadline). Looks like it will be a phone call to the ticket desk, or an offer to my roommate instead.

On the up side, I did a speed dating thing a couple weeks back and actually enjoyed it. Will definitely do that again...is that sad?

I didn't know MFL was on the boards again. I saw it in the 70's--what a rush!

I know your pain. I did the "dating" thing for two years. All it resulted in was some meaningless sex and me hurting a few guys along the way...

sometimes life hits you in stages. I think I'm learning to trust to that. If I'd really met someone at that time we'd be split now since I've sacrificed just about everything to get my master's and work full time.

All I can say is that I believe that the fates have a plan... I've just got to quit being so damn stubborn by trying to force them to do my bidding all the time.

I tried one of the speed dates first, and my back up was the cute redhead at the Starbucks I frequent...but I wimped out on that...at least I finally know her name
