fresh out the bath, i was wondering if it was a bit mutton dressed as, if you know what i mean

BUT, more importantly, i am thinking about dying my hair a medium-dark brown. which is what this is about really :D i don't know whether to do it or not. i'm not unfond of my dark blonde, but just got to wondering when it was wet...

what dya think?

Why not? Or why not blonder? I am all for hair experiments ... they can be changed in an instant. :D

Hey, chip!

I like to go darker in the Fall and Winter. Do you dye your own hair? Try one of those dyes that washes out after about 12 shampoos. That'll give you a taste of the dark side and let you know if you want more of the dark locks or not.

done the blonder, and it was a pain with the upkeep till i went more for highlights which i did myself. i dyed it black once to please a whim of no2 husband - it looked like i'd died. terrible. ghastly. and the results from trying to get rid of that made me a goddamned orangey red head with hair that was stiff enough to sweep floors with! so it all got cut off, really really short (a no.1 at the sides) with slightly longer and spikey on top and very whitish blonde.

if i do it, i'll try a moderate brown that's non-permanent in case i don't like it.

oh, yeah! that's what i was just saying. i've not done anything to the colour for at least 10 years, maybe longer ... i think i might give it a shot. soooooonish.

A sweet kiss to you from Lauren and I to say glad you live, but more importantly to say glad you dye! :D

You don't change the color every few months? I don't even know my original color anymore!

too much effort involved. :)

this is my colour on a sunny day - when it's dull or been rained on and dried then it's darker:

Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one might run out.
Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will look 85.

Chestnut Brown an option

I prefer darker hair. Is chestnut brown an option?

BTW, love the new av

Why not drop the dress and show us your real colors?

Lately my wife has been going blonde (remaining brunette below) since it goes better with the grey creeping in.

When I wash my hair it goes auburn and that's the only colour I have been tempted to try, but I was always afraid of mucking up the blonde I already have, so I haven't bothered as people are dying to get this colour anyway! I used to think that Jane Asher was the most wonderful colour, not too red and carroty
