My neighbors are having a party

The elderly couple across the street are apparently celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

So we've got an entire marching band outside our house, and about 1/3 of the village is standing around. Band's playing, people are twirling flags. Earlier a bunch of women were singing to the couple. It's really pretty cool. It took about three days to get all the decorations up. They look very very nice. Quite impressive.

More band marching, flag twirling, people everywhere. I think even the mayor showed up. Portly guy in a suit.

sounds like there should be some good food and drink abound...ya think you could sneak a few of us in?

I don't know the customs. Sorry.

Quite a few people are leaving already. And I don't see any food or drink around. Probably just family and close friends from here on. At least there won't be any loud music. Anymore. LOL

and since you're in the euro-zone its probably about their beddie bye time anyway..

gonna have to find another (more local) party to crash then...

How sweet. Although a marching band and flag twirlers aren't what I would normally see as normal elements of a 50th wedding anniversary.
