I read an article where a woman meditated every day, for a year, and it changed her life. I plan to do the same.

Join me. Talk to me about how you meditate, where, when, how long, what it does for you.

Day 1- March 25: 11 min

I meditated for thirty seconds and remembered I forgot to take my medication.
It seems like sex is more fun than meditating. Let me think about this awhile longer.

I took a class (in my then-HMO's non-drug weight-control program).

Yes, I am a trained meditator.

Ommmm...

Ommmm...

Raaange...

I use a meditation cd most days to calm my brain.
After much consultation with a psych as to how I think and process, it turns out my brain is over-firing and doing a 20 minute calming meditation every day has brought my previously never-ending thoughts under control.
Bonus - no more insomnia either.

More than a few people have noticed the difference, both here and in r/l.

You misread that. It said "medicated".

Family, purpose and work are all the meditation you need.

Everything else is an escape from responsibility and duty, unless, of course, you posses wealth.

When we still had a land line phone we'd get several calls from psychics. If they were good they'd known I didn't believe in all that crap!:)

Everyone go ahead and levitate, meditate, and medicate. I'm going to sit here thinking about pussy and masturbate. We'll just see who feels better fastest!:D

It relaxes me and clears my brain. I used guided meditation at first (there are plenty of free apps) and now I do both. You get better at it with practice even though it doesn't feel like it in the beginning.

I'd love to meditate; it seems like a wonderful thing. I think I need practice, but my monkey brain won't allow me to practice. It's a conundrum.

One of the easiest for me to do are breath meditations, usually for about five minutes at a time. I start off thinking "inhale" as I breathe in and "exhale" as I breathe out. When I feel my mind wander I go back to that.
