doll_parts: do you really want advice on nutrition and losing weight ? I've got suggestions and advice. I'm just a bit over the weight I was in high school.

It seems to be a lil high in carbs(your plan for today,,,)

My nutritionist says to have 180 carbs a day...this is less than that...

You might want to read into eating habits for diabetics or, as most of it is better written, into a diet called "sugar busters".

Basically what it is it teaches you to cut out fats (but keep enough "good" fats to get the fat soluble vitamins and other stuff your body needs) and how to distinguish "good" from "bad" carbohydrates as well as have enough, but not too much protein.

Actually, this is how you loose weight. You eat none of the bad stuff. But, It is hard to learn what the body digests just normal, what is instant energy that easily gets stored as fat and so on. I did learn about this in the mid 90s, after I lived a year in Texas and gained over 60 pounds. I dropped 45 of those in a year after I moved home, still ate chocolate (made with fructosis, and just a few bites, not a whole bar as I used to), had 3 big satisfying meals a day and two snacks and just felt so full of energy.
I now do a light version of it. I substitute high fat products for stuff with lower fat, use whole wheat products (be careful, in teh US most whole wheat stuff has tons of sugar added to make it taste better...), skip some veggies and fruits and add more of others and already lost 10 pounds in a little over 2 months. However, I also added a ton of extra exercise, but I do eat candy.

My point is, do not count calories. Do not try to loose weight. Change eating habits, get more exercise and you will loose weight.

I do...

my original meal plan was

1/2 bagel with light cream cheese (155 calories)

veggie "turkey" sandwich (two slices instead of 4) (120 calories)

2 cups broccoli (62 calories)

strawberries with cool whip (25+ 20= 45 calories)
10 grapes (40 calories)

422 calories...that isn't enough...

Not trying to sound like a bitch,,BUT if thats all that you ever eat,,,why would you have a weight problem?

so then perhaps your issue is not so much a meal plan
BUT working on what is bugging you to trigger your bingeing?

well, I've only seen him twice...so I have to give it a chance...I'm going to bring up past abuse next time I see him.

I think mostly I just need more activities to keep me busy so I don't have time to think about my problems...
