I was awake before the sun shined its face. The eastern horizon glowed angelic white, like the angels had come to play upon this land. But what I noticed immediately was the blue that surrounded me. There were so many different shades of blue, from ultramarine to indigo. And my favorite was the one between blue and green. It was like the color of the ocean in the Mediterranean....

Evangeline played with her eyes closed. Each note memorized, and savored like the last drop of lemonade on a hot humid day. I watched from afar, high in the rafters as her long fingertips graced the black and white ivories of the Steinway. I sat in the complete darkness transfixed on this romantic sight, mesmerized and fascinated. I wanted to come closer, to savor the music as she is now, but my mystery predicated my distance from her. She must not know that I am here, nor who I am. At least for now...
