so i bought a tube of regular strength magic shave lotion. i did a patch test on my arm. it worked great. 6 minutes later the small circle was hairless and there was no irritation or anything. the smell wasn't that bad, not great but about the same as nair.

i waited until today to use it on my more... uh... sensative areas. so i slather up, wait 6 minutes, and... nothing. no effect at all.

:(

is my hair *that* bad that even magic can't touch it? i feel a little odd right about now... anyone have a similar experiance? what did i do wrong?

The tube says leave it on for 6-9 minutes. Maybe you just need to let it have a little longer to work.

Did you start the 6 minutes when you started applying it or after you were done?

What she said. I've never had any problem like that. Was the hair short to start with?

Generally hair removal products need something to latch onto. If you have less than around a 1/4 of an inch of hair, generally, it will have a hard time removing the hair. Generally, your best bet is to wait until it is 1/4-1/2 an inch long, then use it. A good idea is also to patch test not only on your arm, but on the sensitive area you are using it on as well. That way you can time exactly how long the formula will take to work on your specific hair. It also avoids alot of pain if you leave the cream on too long. Good luck.
