My Latest Batgirl Story - Looking for ideas!

Hi There,

I'm currently half way through my fifth Batgirl novel and are kind of stuck! I'm hoping some charitable author will be able to help?

Batman, Robin and Batgirl are about to attempt the rescue of Barbara Gordon(don't ask) from the evil clutches of Two-face, from an old abandoned warehouse.This is a trap that Two-face has set up, in an attempt to kill the hated trio!

What I need is an original TRAP! It mustn't be too over the top and the Dynamic Trio need to escape it! Two-face must also avoid capture.

Two face is, I think, a rather straight forward kinda bad guy. His trap wouldn't be as elaborate as say the joker or the Penguin. Resorting to one of my favorite's of grimtooth's traps, have you ever considered the hourglass room trap?

It's fairly simple, you have two rooms connected by a tube and counter balanced. When your heros step into one of them, they over balance it and the room tips down, the bood now on the bottom and obviously imapassable. At the same time, the upper room, is filled with sand. The sand pouring out of the room abive will make it imposible to get up and out, the door exit is now blocked by the subfloor and as the sand pours in your heros are going to be crushed by the weight of it or burried alive (use very fine sand so they can't just climb up it.)

As to escape, the caped crusader need only remember that at high temperatures sand will turn to glass. He should have something on his utility belt with which he can cuperheat enough sand to make a big golb of glass in the "sout" and stop the sand.

This is from a DND campaign I ran a year ago, but it fits in the whole believable diabolical trap scheme. I once had a number of party members stumble into a rock quary, where they fell into a box.

The box was a big square, about 4x4 metres and 2 metres high. The top had a trapdoor that opens upwards. One of the sides hinges upwards and on that side there was a huge rock grinder, running the whole 4 metre width of the box. (Think Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom stuff.) The side, opposite of the hinging side, slides inwards, pushing the piles of rock (or hapless occupants) towards the rock grinder.

Along the side of the box there were rail tracks over which typical quarry rail carts would trundle, emptying their load into the box. (Which is how they got in there in the first place.

I think my party survived by jamming the sliding wall with a frost spell, then using the extra time to transmute the trapdoor into mud, and climbing out. But you could also have them jam the grinder.

I know not of this Grimtooth, at least I may have seen ads in Dragon, but the hourglass trap sounds like something a fella like Two-Face would use. His schemes tend to revolve around two in some fashion, so a trap would either require Bats to make a choice or, a pair of things that work together..like chemicals mixing, in which case our hero could find a way to neutralize one or both.

Or, Two-Face just plain ole shoot them. He's going to set off the trap, says "Fuck this!" and starts pumping bullets (two-by-two) at the intrepid trio.

And then, in a crossover of staggering proportions, Spidey arrives to web up the madman, and hauls him off to prison. Eat it Batman!

Batman and Robin are locked in a plexiglass cube with no escape. Batgirl is stripped naked and chained in front of them above a large industrial stenght vibrating dildo. As long as she rides the dildo, no water enters the cube. However, if she gets off, water enters the cube. If she "get's off" several gallons of water fill the cube.

Oh yeah, and there's a camera so that her father, the police commissioner is forced to watch her cum.
