I've just applied for what might be my dream job. Computer Technician at Försäkringskassan, which is the part of state that handles paying you the money you get for being on sick leave, maternity leave, state financed studies, etc.
I'd be doing the type of things that I a) have education for, and b) do at home just for the heck of it. I'd get lots of work, and perhaps even the possibilty to educate myself further, to get evn better at what I'm doing than I am now.
The only drawback is... I won't get paid for it. Not per se. See, it's an intern type of job. I'd work as much as a regular employee, but I'd still only get about 3.000:- SKR/month - which is less than what I pay in rent for my apartment, and I've got a CHEAP apartment! The rest of my life support would be social security. Then, after 6 months, I MIGHT get hired for real - IF Försäkringskassan can afford it.
I've just applied to do my ideal job for free. Keep your fingers crossed that I get it.
Sweden - it's FANTASTIC..!
