I think so!

He does love his tummy rubbed, but you can also just talk to him from the other side of the room - "Macavity - sweet kitty" and he purrs and stretches and rolls around like he's a dog.

Aww cute kitties! My cat is pretty little, bout 7 pounds, but he refuses to sit in my lap. He insists on trying to climb on my shoulder the way he used to when he was itty bitty. Hard head doesn't realise he won't fit up there anymore.

My kittens do that too. I have big fat cat, over 20 lbs, and 2 pure white kittens...both about 6 months old. They sleep on my head, on my shoulder, places they fit when they were palm sized. Dammit, I can't get ANY sleep anymore. No wonder I'm sick and still awake.

My kitty got neutered. That hurts them a lot in the weight area.
Plus he's lazy.

But they love me so!! And they keep me warm and snuggly...since I don't have a man to snuggle up with ~sigh~

That's why I sleep with extra pillows. It helps ease the loneliness of sleeping alone while not sticking a paw in my mouth when they want to eat.
