How was father's day?

Father's day was very nice. My wife was somewhat busy, due to some social and other commitments, so I spent time with my stepdaughter, which I always enjoy. We all had a lovely breakfast together, and I received a beautiful Skagen watch and a DVD (Ultraviolet).

I hope you don't think me daft for asking about the celebration of Father's Day in Canada. I know that the US and Canada share many things but, although it may not be obvious, we do have different cultures, celebrations, etc. We in the US may know Canada best through its comedians, tilly hats, and poutin but Canadian culture is far richer than that. There's also the touk, Foster's Lager, and Celene Dion.

True story...I was traveling with my work laptop, so I had Internet access but the Lit site was blocked. I did what a lot of us probably did, a google search on Lelanni...which did take me to Hawaii. I'd blown through my guesses anyway, but thought about emailing a Lit buddy and asking her to post that I wanted to change my last guess from "Crete" to "Hawaii". No kidding.

Crete. WTF was I thinking anyway?

Moot point. It seems the right answer had already been guessed anyway. Just wanted to share the lengths we might go to get but a glimpse of a beautiful lady.

Nice gift! You're right, some holidays are the same and some are different. I have family in the US that i visit on some holidays. I celebrated Thanks Giving twice last year (once in Canada and once in the US).

I'll have to agree that some interesting combinations of cultures produce some pretty unique looking people. I have a friend that is half Cuban, half Asian. I think she is stunning.
