just wanted to let everyone know that i live , sleep , and eat the soprano's. does anyone else feel the same way?

OMG! I love the Sopranos it reminds me of many people I know and love. Also, it's great to watch a show that is filmed in Jersey. I love NJ.

the saprano's rock....i was on the literotica chat room last night & when i asked does anyone watch the show only one out of 52 people said they did...they don't know what their missing....one thing i thought was strange during last night episode was tony whacking the kid himself...that would never happen in real life gangster land...but i do love the show...

Love this show.
I think Edi Falco is so hot I just don't get why Tony does not dig his wife. I missed last nights episode thank god they show it 40x's a week.

I agree also Irontoto, I love the show and have to catch it when I can also!!!!!

My name is Laurel, and I'm a Sopranos addict. I missed the last episode, but according to the HBO Sopranos page, they have Encore showings Tuesdays 11PM, Wednesdays 9PM and Saturdays at 12:25AM ET, so you know where I'll be tomorrow night... I haven't cared so much about a series since I was a kid. The casting is impeccable, the scripts are awesome... my only concern is their recent affinity for cameos (i.e. Sandra Bernhard, Janeane Garafolo, and the director of Swingers a couple episodes back, and Frank Sinatra Jr. the episode before that) Part of what makes the show for me is that the actors and actresses aren't big names - to me, they ARE their characters, which makes the show much more believable. When they start throwing in all these famous faces, it hurts the credibility of the show IMHO.

I think I've mentioned this before (many times, actually!) on this BB, but this is the only thing on television I even watch any more. I tell you, I will GRIEVE if the Sopranos is ever cancelled! Irontoto, I'm with you; I live, eat, and sleep this show! I swear these people are the finest actors on the planet... James Gandolfini and Nancy Marchand especially. Pauly cracks me up... he gets more pussy for an old guy than you can imagine. And speaking of Pussy... God, my heart goes out to this guy - what the hell is he gonna do? Damn, I could go on and on, but PLEASE, if you've never watched the Sopranos, find someone who has all the episodes taped and watch it from the beginning. Will you regret the time spent watching all those episodes, when you could have been doing something more productive? Fuggedaboudit!!! You'll thank all of us who've posted here, believe me... If you don't like it, you worthless scumbag, I'm gonna have to whack you.

Bada-bing!!!
EOD

P.S. Hey, Laurel... how about changing "experienced" and "virgin" BB members to "Boss", "Capo", etc.? I'm down with that!

I only saw that show once but it was entertaining possibly not as fun as wrestling(I told you I'd mention it every chance I get), but it was cool. I will definetly have to start watching this show more.

I am hoping that they stick to the real world, and Pussy didn't wear his tap when they whacked that kid. We all know if he did he could somewhere along the line in TV world, say that he was forced to do it, and get that put into his pardon too ... but to have Tony do it, will be the end of all ends if he turns him in. I have no idea why they wrote that part in there because you are right, a Boss would never whack anyone. That's why I am thinking along the lines above. I hope I am wrong.

Although, there is a part of me that does feel sorry for Big Pussy, there is another part of me that really hates what he is doing and I am hoping Tony catches up to him before it's too late.

One person I miss is Tony's Mom. That old lady cracks me up... I love when Richie asked her where Parvoti was.. and she said Who?? When he repeated it and said Janice, she goes Oh Don't start with that name thing ... her voice and actions kill me.

Although I do know one of the actors on there very well, I also have to agree that the reason I am so hooked is they are their characters ... not someone we know as so and so who played in this part and that. They are genuinely The Sopranos. My friend told me that other than the cameos all the actors were cast not only for their talents but because they were born and raised in either North Jersey or Brooklyn. I guess they wanted the accents to be genuine.

As you can see I can go on and on about this show... I watch every episode and then all the repeats.. I can't get enough of it ... does this mean I am addicted?

Oh, John, you've gotta get someone to tape episodes for you! Do they have the first season on video for sale? They must...

Although, there is a part of me that does feel sorry for Big Pussy, there is another part
of me that really hates what he is doing and I am hoping Tony catches up to him
before it's too late.

That's what's so great about the show, and so hard to communicate to people who hear the premise and say, "A mob show? Why would I care about a bunch of mobsters?" The dichotomy of these human beings doing inhuman things... You're let into their lives, you see their pain and anger and hopes and fears, they become your friends, but they're murderers and liars. There are no heroes, no angels. But you still feel for them, because their just like us - imperfect. I'd never put a gun to anyone's head, and I cringe when I watch someone on the show get capped, but I can understand why the killers kill, because I've wanted to kill, I've felt that kind of anger. In a way, I'm envious of their lives, of how directly they deal with people who come up against them. But at the same time, I pity them. It's a fucking great show. I just hope they don't blow it by trying to hard to make it a great show, know what I mean?

did anyone see the last show of the season sunday night? was it a little hard to understand or was it just me? did they really kill pussy or was that just a dream of tony's?

This is a story for fat people. The dudes can't even see you know what when they do you know what.

I heard Monica was going to make a guest appearance as Tony's tongue depressor. I mean, the dude does like doctors, but Monica got cancelled because she just lost 31 pounds. Talk about getting a load off ...

I belive they really killed Pussy I got that feeling at the end when they showed all Tony's dark sides and then ended with a shot of the ocean.
I am so happy Christopher got promoted last night(I belive this was also a result of Pussy's demise) I really never cared for christopher but he really grew on me this season I am so glad he survived the shooting.
manicotti to you LMJ

Yep, they killed Pussy. I felt sorry for all of them in that scene. I felt sorry for Pussy because he although he turned into a rat, he didn't really have a choice and you know it was killing him when you saw him break down in the bathroom a few weeks ago. On the other hand he did deserve it, as I said above and I felt sorry for Tony, Paulie and Silvio since they had to be the ones to do it. They were all so close for so long, and now they had to kill him. It's one thing to whack a guy that you hate, but to whack one that you love, that is heartbreaking.

Anyway, I can see where you thought it was a dream, but it was confirmed at Meadow's Party when his wife was talking about him not coming home again and missing the Party.

I love that show. I can't wait to watch it again.. Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday..

uh oh

Pussy's gone. He was one of my favorite characters. And what he said at the end, that all he gave the feds was scraps, little shit that didn't amount to anything... that was the truth. But yet, that's the way it is, they have this code of honor and they have to get rid of him. But you could see, at the therapist's, especially, how it is just killing Tony that they had to whack Pussy. Sorry this is rambling so much, but I'm still grieving about this. Although I will not grieve about Richie Aprille being dead, I never could stand that guy.

I got an annual subscription to HBO, just so that I could watch this show.

With Ritchie and Pussy (both 'made' men)now dead, Christopher was next in line to be 'made'.

I don't think Tony had a choice in whacking the kid who shot Christopher. If he had delegated the job, it would have been seen as a lack of respect for a 'dedicated' employee.

If you don't take care of your 'own', then the other people lose respect and trust for you. And no, Pussy neither wore a wire nor ratted Tony out to the FBI on that one. All of which makes Pussy's situation and death, that much sadder.

I also enjoy Sex and The City about as much as the Sopranos. Does anyone else? Should I start another thread on that show?
