My Doctor hates me

I have COPD, a pulmonary disease. During an x-ray about a year ago, the radiologist found a 'spot' in a lung module that looked suspicious. So I had a biopsy that revealed a small cluster of abnormal cells, not malignant, but subject to becoming so.

So every three months I have had a CT scan to watch the progress of those cells. I have had four CT scans. On the last one, NOTHING abnormal was found.

There has been no medical treatment involved - just the monitoring via CT scans. And now there is nothing to see. My doctor is appalled, because it went away without his intervention. I'm sure Medicare is happy about my situation, but my doctor hates me. He has '$$$$$' tattooed on his forehead, and he has had to have one '$' removed.

Glad to hear things cleared up, skip.

And if your doctor wanted to be rich he should have been a stockbroker or cocaine dealer. At least he'd be honest about his greed then. ;)

Thanks, guys. And, Rob, my doctor is already rich - he just wants to be richER. Just the car he drives is six times more expensive than mine. Then he's got a wife with expensive tastes, and two teenagers with a new car every year to keep up with.

I feel really bad that I don't have cancer for him.

Damn!
Find a new disease, quickly. Your doctor depends on you.

That's what he said. He's really a pretty nice guy. I was stretching it when I said he hated me. I just thought that headline would attract comments.

It is. :)

But mostly just to say congratulations on your clean bill of health!

Yes, how wonderful to not have to worry. Good for you! and best wishes.:rose:

Way to go Skip! My Father in law had the same thing happen several years ago.
Doctor was sure he was gonna die of lung cancer, then it was a brain tumour - so watch out!

Cool beans, Skipper.

Glad things worked out in your favor.

Misdiagnoses are rampant in the medical profession.

And the sawbones can bury their mistakes. ;)

Yay for clear CTs.

Can we swap docs? The one prior to this one spent 13 years telling me I was imagining things...
