Cooking, part 1

Ok, here's the meal in progress.
We start with all the ingredients:
A couple of pounds of chicken cutlets, a bottle of Rose de Provence, some 10 Yr old Madeira, a pound of Portabello mushrooms, and a few miscellaneous goodies


*edited to say I forgot to mention the Basamati rice! 'd'oh!

And with about 1 1/2 cups of Rose de Provence added to it, holes poked in the chicken with a fork
Marinate 2 hours, then flip, sprinkle herbs on other side, and marinate 2 more

Ok, chicken's covered & in the fridge, time to marinate the Portabellos
Here I am stirring them in to a mix of realtively neutral flavored altho quite tangy Chardonna/Verdeca leftover from last night's salad course and 10 yr old Malmsey Madeira

(Pouty was doing homework, I dragged her in to shoot this one so you guys could see it's actually me doing the cooking)

Somewhere out there in the ether is a pic of me cooking breakfast after an all-night playparty at Her house
I look barely alive, as I'd been asleep for a total of about 2 hours, meaning my "common sense" quotient was pretty low
In the pic I am frying bacon pretty much naked

Since then, witht he passing of time, re-growing of the chest hairs, and healing of the burns, I've tended to stay dressed while cooking ;)

HOWEVER
Since I'm all about the fans, here's a couple of shots of me turning the chicken over to add more herbs & let the other side soak
Not only are the chicken breasts skinless, my breasts are shirt-less ;)
