It is, quite candidly, art (albiet with a stunning subject).

I liked the story very much. I found it to be very sophisticated for the genre, with your use of language bordering on archaic...

I tend to be pretty wordy & use words that choke most spell-check programs becuase they're not in common use
Part of what I'm told is my vividly rich visual imagery :)
Since I'm a photographer I tend to write so people can "see" what's in my head :)
Have you read my 2 poems? They show off more of my word use. More poems are finished & going up, and I'm working on a new story.

I liked the visuals in your poetry. After all.. poetry is all about the reaction of the moment in the reader's mind.. You do it well. I write a lot of poetry... have had a few things published...and I would adore reading some more of yours. Thanks for sharing it! :)

Can't sleep right without my Kitty to cuddle :(
 
You could always take one with you if only for a little while, just to help you sleep. If not then you can always dream about your Kitty and although not as nice as having her with you it may hasten your fall into sleep with pleasant thoughts of her.

And when you get back to her you can make up for lost time with all that loving that you have saved for her.

We always try & make up for lost time
we debate some times on if living closer would diminish things between us, or improve them due to relieving the sense of urgency we seem to have at times
I think living closer would definetly be better :)

On the bright side, work schedule has cleared where (gas $ permitting) I'll get to go visit this weekend! yay!

And maybe even take more pics :)
 
Forget the pictures. They take time away from your enjoyment of each other. Relax, enjoy, drink in and bask in your togetherness. Forget the rest of the world. If you stay there you won't have to pay for gas.:D

Come to Canada for a dose of gas prices. Even with the US buck worth 4000 Canadian you will still gag at the price.:)
