But .... I went for an interview today ... and have been offered the job!
At last - after seven months of searching, I have finally got the job!



Maybe, at long last we can get out of the red with the bank, and then we will have enough money to do some important shopping. Now ... where is that toy thread?

I had begun to dispair of working again - having sent off countless application forms, being called for a good number of interviews, only to be told I cam a 'close second' or some equally trite brush off.

When I got the call last eveing I felt wonderful!


I am not sure when my starting date will be - so you will all have to bear with the fact that I will have days left of multiple posting

I can't believe I missed this post before!

CONGRATS!!

I can't say that with more warmth and enthusiasm. I understand what's like -- I've been out of work a while and it really beats me down sometimes. I spent the last few months in an agonizingly dragged out interview process for a great job...and when the final interview came about two weeks ago -- I just *knew* between myself and the other one or two people up for the job -- I wasn't the one that got it. Needless to say I haven't heard from them -- which might be bad or good, actually, lol. Because from their website -- they show they still haven't filled the position. Still I know, after all that heartache -- I'm sure I don't have it. For me it meant new city, fresh start, I did exactly what one shouldn't -- I had a lot of emotional investment involved in getting the position. Particularly in my field and with my seniority -- jobs are few and far to come by.

Anyway -- enough about my troubles...

I'm so happy to hear such good news! All the best, keep us "posted"
