Must - reach - for - the light!

Snow, sleet, winter weather advisary! 3 Inches more of snow expected on top of the sleet!

I can't do it anymore - I just can't!!!

STOP THE INSANITY!

Sunlight. I need - sunlight. Warmth on my face.

Must - reach - for - the light!

*sigh*

(Can I move in with anyone a few states south of Kansas?)
Can I ever empathize .... :(

Hell, let's think big ... is there anyone out there in the Bahamas that would take freezing mid-westerners with bad cases of cabin fever?

It's the worst winter I can ever remember - everyone seems depressed from the cold and the lack of sunlight.

:(
Yeah ... in Wisconsin, we had one day of slightly above freezing last weekend. Of course, it rained turning the piles of snow into a slushy mess. Then, of course, it changed over to freezing rain.

Next few days ... record lows! A frozen tundra!

I was so happy on Saturday when I was driving to Atlantic City and the sun came out, and warmed up the entire day. The drive down was beautiful, and it was a great day.

Of course the temperatures have dropped down into the teens again...

Was just discussing this with the proprietress of the tanning salon I patronize. It's my light therapy. It works.

I'm thinking I'll installing one of those things above my bed ... and sleeping under the rays all night! :)

we're getting that shit right now. Blargh. Even when it is sunny, it's too bloody cold to go outside.

We've been teased with a couple of 70 degree days. Tomorrow is expected to be cold and rainy, sleet forecasted. Sigh.

WE have a boat - nice nice boat - we could pull it out of winter storage and take oh 10 of you with us to the bahamas.... we'd have to use the inter-coastal water ways but it will get us there.....................................................

It was so odd. It's been cloudy, rainy, cold and dismal here for months. Yesterday was suddenly bright sunlight and upper 50's. I was running around in a t-shirt and shorts.

This morning I woke up, looked out at the "same old shit", but oddly felt so much better. I think it's a Vitamin D thing.

Jenny is right, I think. It's vitamin D. More milk, a full-spectum lamp to read under (preferably naked!) and a vitamin pill/day should help . . . everything but the cold, that is. Sarah, my studio has a murphy bed and a fireplace. I'll accept modeling hours as rent. :D

there is also something about bright light on the retinas, too. So just looking out the window, when it's sunny but cold, can help your light dep.

Oh...

I saw the thread title and thought it was about Barack Obama... ;)

Come down to Texas, darlin.

Although it's been overcast here for 2 days.

In my past, I have dealt with submariners. They take long, undersea voyages and don't see the light of day for sometimes weeks at a time. When they do make port, they order up milk and salads, instead of steaks.

I would suggest the milk that someone already suggested and salads. Particularly tomatoes seemed to be very popular.

In addition, exposure to sunshine seems to help, if only through a window.

I'll share my bed with you. ;)

I got the call before 6 this morning. Another snow day, this one due to ice. I used to like snow days, but this year I've been sick during every one of them. I'm starting to get twitchy when the phone rings early in the morning. :)
