I have watched alot of musicals in my time.. from the sound of music to GRease...

what was your favorite musical .. that it may be on tv or broadway

42nd Street

holds a special place in my heart, 'cause I saw it when Jerry Orbach was still in the cast.

Also saw Bob Fosse's last, it was called Big Deal, based on the italian movie Big Deal on Madonna Street, although instead of being set in Italy, it was set on the South Side of Chicago. That's gonna get revived someday, and I'll be able to say "Nyah nyah nyah."

Haven't simply watched a musical in some time, and I really don't have one favorite. Here are the last ten musical productions I've worked on:

When Pigs Fly
The Sound of Music
You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown
Little Shop of Horrors
Candide
Violet
Annie
Fiddler on the Roof
Nunsense
Forever Plaid

Currently preparing to open Weird Romance in a week.

So many musicals!

LES MISERABLES
THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN
THE PRODUCERS
JELLY'S LAST JAM

and many more..... RENT; CHICAGO; MY FAIR LADY

Just realized with tonight's performance, Broadway's LES MIZ has passed A CHORUS LINE for second longest running musical (after CATS).

You go, Cossette!!:D

Impossible to choose...

Just depends...favourite to listen? to watch live? movie? have performed in? want to do?

Jesus Christ Superstar

Fiddler on the Roof

Man of LaMancha

The Amorous Flea

Camelot

1776

(Ok, that's at least one of each.)

Stage shows

Jesus Christ Superstar

Evita.

Didn't like the movies much.

Brigadoon. The whole story of being able to slip back into history like that, especially into a small Scottish village, would be so fantastically wonderful, and the music and imagery is beautiful.

Other favorites:
Sound of Music
Mary Poppins
Wizard of Oz (except for the flying monkey men. They gave me nightmares)
South Pacific

I do tend to be drawn to the older, classic sorts of musicals.
