Thought I'd give this a go and see what happens - can you come up with a tune or song that has the name of your city/town in it? Post a link to a site where it can be heard - here's my offering

Inverness Gaththering - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-DS_O6cul0

played on the bagpipes of course!

I think this is a neat idea. I'd contribute, but I can't think of any songs that fit the criteria. sorry.

NY State of Mind-Billy Joel
Empire State of Mind-Jay Z
Another Rainy Day in NYC- Chicago
Autumn In New York, composed by Vernon Duke and performed by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Chet Baker, Harry Connick, Jr., and many more
Back to the Bronx- 2 Live Crew
Bleecker Street-Simon & Garfunkel
....

The list is almost impossible to maintain, there's so many...

OOPS! Didn't see the part about linking audio visual...I'll work on those edits. :)

Red, I now love you because you threw Autumn In New York in.

I like the idea of this thread, but it seems like there are only a few places, like New York, that show up in songs often. I know what it means to miss... Baltimore.

Not my current city, but I just moved away and it's still more or less home.
Also, should the name just be in the title? Or can it be in the body? Going with the latter here, though substitute any rendition of "St. Louis Blues" for the former.

Well, God bless your crooked little heart
St. Louis got the best of me
