I'm sitting here listening to the soundtrack from Good Morning Vietnam, and came to think that there are lots of music on that cd that makes me feel good, so I started to think, what music makes you feel good?

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Lacuna Coil. But J-pop (japanese pop) and music from anime soundtracks always makes me feel good. It's cheerful and almost 80's pop-ish a lot of the time, and I can't help but smile when I hear it.

Techno just makes me want to move - I guess that's the point? - and can always make me feel better if I'm feeling sluggish.

But mostly the j-pop. :)

I'm really into Coheed and Cambria right now - my son got me hooked. I have Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Vol. 1: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness in my cd player in my car right now. Some of their stuff is a little out there but I really love there sound.

Uhm, lots of music really...

Music keeps me going.

But right now my "feel good" song is

"What I Got" by Sublime.

If I feel anxious, unhappy with myself, angry, or really tired, I listen to classic. Mostly Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi. Symphonies, full out orchestra, big music. Turn it up loud (like whole house hearing, annoying all neighbors loud) and then I lie down on the floor, just breathing.

At other times I like latin-american rythms.

oh and my grandma died a while back if you all remember. I got this cd collection we used to listen to when I was her caregiver. There's three cd's and it's got stuff like 'my boyfriend's back', and 'leader of the pack', and some other great old songs.

Almost all music makes me feel good or at least feel something.

The only types of music I don't care for is country and rap otherwise I like it all from Wolfgang, to Greg Lake to Madonna.

I love Bat out of Hell! I also really like For Crying Out Loud and Two out of Three Ain't Bad on that cd.

My musical tastes vary according to my mood.

If I'm pissed off, have to clean the house and/or am trying to stay awake it's Heavy Metal. The real shit not that bland crap they call metal today.

If I'm depressed the blues usually cheer me up. I know that sounds strange but its true and I have an oppositional nature at times.

If I am doing accounting or have a headache, I like stuff like Beethoven, Enya or Sade. The stuff you don't have to sing along with or even listen to that much, they just sort of soothe.

If I want to sing and dance along it's stuff like Pink, Eminem, Filter, Alicia Keys, Soundgarten and stuff like that.

I have all kinds of reasons for listening to all kinds of music which all brings me joy but I'll stop there because I'm all pooped.

I like most all kinds of music that is really music, from Bing Crosby 1923-1932, to early rock, to country clasics and todays country, but if I really want to relax and feel good, 1940's big band swing, I am really fond of Glen Miller's In The Mood

I have to agree with you about sublime.

Since some dill hole stole all my cd's I usually just turn on the radio and get mad since it's all crap!

country station= all new gay sounding stuff that doesn't even resemble country music

rock station= same 5 songs over and over and over again

rap station= same 5 songs over and over and over again

I usually end up on 50's station. There is one song impaticular that they play by Jimmy Soul, if you wanna be happy

chorus:
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you
