I have only recently discovered works by the Renaissance era composer Tomás Luis de Victoria and I have not been so moved by new music in a very long time.

So I felt like sharing a few responsoriae from his Officium Hebdomadae Sanctae.

Mozart. Gran Partita. K361. City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Conducted by Sakami Oramo (sp?). The BBC broadcast it live the other night. I'll try to find it on the website. It's quite possibly the greatest piece of music ever written, played by a genius.

Only because it should be Summer; it's more active and would lend it self better to the format (and is, I think, just a better concerto from the Four Seasons).

I always wanted to do a 120 bpm version of Holst's Jupiter. I think it would work but I have neither the IT nor musical skills to do it myself.

Interesting. Jupiter might work, that's true, but (as with any song really), you'd have to know what you were doing.

Incidentally, a section of Holst's Jupiter is the music for the English patriotic song I Vow to Thee My Country.
