Music sharing thread...

Now if you could just put up some of your namesakes new album, hint hint...

Nah. After the way I've used their band name as my handle in here all this time - I'd much rather *urge* others to purchase their CDs rather than provide their songs for free. But if anyone wanted to share some Morcheeba songs, I'd have no problem with it. Does this make sense?

Anyway, for your namesake, here's my fave Veruca Salt song...

My Sharona - Damn did those Chi-Town girls do this justice!

These three are great for power bike-riding...

ZZ TOP - Velcro Fly - If this doesn't pep you up to the brink - nothing will.

Best Elvis Song Remix, Ever

LEAD INTO GOLD - Faster Than Light - That hairy Dio Beast might be the only Litster who's ever heard this Paul Barker experiment besides me, and that, in itself, scares me. But give it a go for that extra adrenaline punchola, taco breaths.

Alright, alright... now for two other fabulous songs...

I Want Your (Hands On Me) - This Irish chica oozed eroticism with this - one of the best on my playlist for years - hands down.

WOLFGANG PRESS - Girl Like You - Obscure yet lovely and that's exactly what I adore about this thread full of great tunes from so many.

Longfellow was right, music really is the universal language of mankind. I'm learning so much about others in here from this thread alone. Mwahhh!

OK so is anyone having problems with .wma files? I was pulling from my library but wasn't sure if they work for some people who may not be using WMP.

I haven't. I noticed the two I just posted are the .wma files. Is there a way that I can change that file ext.?

Ya I posted some earlier but wasn't sure if those work in WinAmp or whatever so I'm trying to post MP3. wma works for me but if it doesn't matter then fuggit. anyone got an easy way to convert to MP3 if it matters?

An incredibly geeky addition, but I must; it's quite large, about 20 mb, so it'll take a while to download:
The Dream Oath Opera by Nobuo Uematsu

Unfortunately, this arrangement leaves out one of my favourite elements in the main aria, but still it is a nice recording of the whole opera (which is relatively short).

yes... I can send you a converter if you need it but the current version of Winamp will handle .wma files as well as mp3's....

and for those that want... feel free to leech what I have up on my site and send requests.... out of 1400 or so CD's and access to many more if I do not have the song you want I can prob get it.....

Some other time then, 30 mins to upload the file again, not right now thanks

now listen and appreciate, feckers!

Sigur Ros:
Von (Studio version)
Von (Live - The crowd is eerily quiet, as if mesmerized, till the very end)

They don't sound like Zeppelin but he often uses a bow when playing his Les Paul like Jimmy Page only better IMO

A little bit of Song Remains the Same, eh, speaking of the bow? ;)

A bit of Gregorian Chant, the Dies Irae of Thomas Celano from the Missa pro Defunctis:
Dies Irae by the Monks of the Abbey of Notre Dame

Byzantine Chant, a Hymn to Our Lady from the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom:
Megalymaire to Our Lady by the Greek Byzantine Choir

Russian Orthodox Chant, in Russian Church Slavonic, a bit of chant for Vespers:
Blessed is the Man by the Novospassky Monastery Choir

And last but not least, a rather lengthy (about 14 mb and 14 minutes) Tibetan Buddhist Chant:
Buddhist Monks Choir II by the Buddhist Monks of the Maitri Vihar Monastery

Unfortunately (although not necessarily surprisingly), it can be somewhat difficult to find religious chants sung by women.
