I was wondering if any of you were smack dab on the scene when any giant musical movement burst onto the scene?

Any of you there in San Fran in 66? or NY in 75? or NY in 80? or Seattle in 89? or Atlanta in the last year or so?

What was it like? Real sweet? Any good stories?

I've been in london since the start of the garage music craze that's taking over England...not garage rock mind you but something completely different!

If you have audiogalaxy or an mp3 search proggie look for anything by Artful Dodger and you'll see what I'm talking about :)

Screw you!

Two step garage is gonna be sweeping the US soon, you wait and see! Look out for Craig David and MJ Cole....

You heard it here first :p

You say that but good english music won't even catch on in the states :p

What about the Spice girls?
Oh wait hold on a minute :D

Actually Bush are a British band who are more popular in the States then they are here.
Funny how things work out sometimes innit?

Yeah, Bush sucks though.

There are a few bands like that. Catherine Wheel sells more albums in Canada than in the UK, I think Stereophonics do too.

But Gomez, Blur, Ash and others can't sell an album to save their lives stateside.

Blur's popularity is way down here despite the fact their songs are much better now. Ash's new album is real popular at the moment though!

Trust me on this one though...Craig David will make it in the US!
If you don't know anything about r'n'b or hip hop I won't bother you with the details but he's already been doing collabs with some major artists in the US and has been signed on one of the largest record labels.

Did you not see the above "NYC in 80 or Atlanta a year ago??" I know so much about hip hop that they call me the Killa, The fly bitch thrilla. :)

I love Blurs new stuff too. I really liked 13.

Yes... NY in 75... and NY in 80...

Saw Talking Heads before their first album...

Saw Richard Hell and The Voidoids, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks (with Lydia Lunch), James White and the Blacks, The Cramps and others before they "made it"...

Oh yes... Grandmaster Flash, The Furious Five...
