Ok, so do you have a favorite type of music when you are in a session. this is not just "what kind of music do you like?"

More like, "What kind of music really gets you in the mood?"

Personally, Lou Reed's Rock and Roll Animal; especially Sweet Jane, Heroine, and Rock and Roll

There's two types of modes I go into - aural masochism and the real masochism. For aural masochism type of stuff, I turn to my terror and speed folder and a bit of brutal noise folders. For the real deal, I put on abstract house or minimalist techno. I'm very into electronic music so this kind of stuff puts me into those moods.

Garbage as several songs I like, my favorite being "Vow".

I can't use what I can't abuse

I'm definitely interested in some choice picks from your lists, if you wouldn't mind sharing...sounds very much like what gets me ready.

I listen to Brave New Waves (if you don't live in Canada, you might need real audio to get the feed and it usually comes on at midnight -700 GMT.

Other places to sample said music is by looking for techno music boards. Note: when I say techno, I mean the aesthetic term and not the loose term - techno dance/electronica.

My favourite Techno messageboard is German Hard Techno (Schranz) forum, where tracks are labeled minimalist, or be experimental and listen to the offbeat and experimental pieces.

In my thoughts it's always something classical .. something dark .... but with a twist ;) .... Carmina Burana performed Carl Orff maybe ?? ;) :rose:
