Murder in Greenfield - Casting Call:OOC

Ok the IC thread is now up, so everyone can start playing out their characters in the town.

Character sheets should be posted here, to keep the IC thread from too much OOC posts, and there is no real format as to what you should put. I guess I could do a template if you aren't sure what to follow

Name: Jason Borne
Age: Late 20's-early 30's (around 29)
Hair: Dark brown
Eyes: Blue
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 181 lbs

Appearance: Jason is fairly tall and physically fit. He tends to spend a good amount of time working on his body, and has a tattoo on his back of a snake wrapped around a dagger. His hair is cut very short, and he has no visible piercings.

Personality: Very friendly, Jason and his family have been known for their caring attitude towards others and he has been known to visit a few charities and hospitals during his spare time. His pleasant demeanor has earned him the trust and respect of many of the townsfolk, and so they have often turned to him for help in many aspects of their day-to-day lives.

Bio: The Borne family moved to Greenfield about 45 years ago, and have worked their way into the hearts of the people that have lived there for much longer. His father is a construction worker for the Daykin Building Corporation while his mother stays at home and takes care of his younger sister Lucy. Jason attended high school in Greenfield and moved off to Chicago to attend university. He has since returned to Greenfield and teachers at the elementary school. However ever since he returned he has been a different person. He is a bit more reclusive and doesn't really speak of his time spent in Chicago, shrugging off any questions that are asked of him.

Just a note: I'll be doing the posts about the murders and whatnot, so as to keep the Mafia from revealing themselves and to move the game along.

Here's how things will go:

My post (and yes, I get to have fun in describing the murders): During the late hours of the night, Alex was walking back to his house after spending some time with Kelly. An odd feeling overcame him, however, and he looked over his shoulder to make sure he wasn't being followed. When he was satisfied that he was finally alone, he turned around again and saw a dark figure standing at the other end of the sidewalk, holding a long knife. While being pretty strong and able to hold his own in a fight, he had little chance of standing up to someone with a weapon. Taking a step back he watched as the figure kept up with him, and as he turned to run he felt a strong pain course through his back. He fell to his hands and knees on the sidewalk, his arm reaching up to pull the dagger out of his back. Yet as he took hold of the handle, he felt a strong kick to his side, and he was sent sprawling onto the ground. The murderer ran up to him and taking hold of the knife repeatedly stabbed him in the back until his victim was dead.

Several hours later Mrs. Friarmeyer Von Hugglesunchoowawa was out walking her poodles when she saw someone lying on the sidewalk. She thought nothing of it at first, but as she drew closer she noticed that he was lying in a small pool of blood, and she screamed out in bloody murder. It wouldn't be long before the police had arrived and carried away the body, and the town was struck with fear. The Mayor called a special town meeting and held it at the high school gym (as it could fit the most people).

*this is where you guys take action and start the accusations for that round. Obviously the player of Alex would not be able to take part as he is currently lying in the morgue. After a round of debate someone will be picked to be hanged, in the hopes of ending the violent murders. If the murderer is hanged i'll post that the murders will have stopped and that the town became safe once more. If not I'll have the Mafia pick a new target and a new round will begin. The game will only end when the Mafia is dead.*

Appearence

Alexander is a barrel chested man tall , with powerful arms and legs , he's normally very well dressed but does spend a lot of time in outdoors pursuits. He has a small tattoo of a scorpion sting on his right upper arm. On his upper left arm is a small scar

Personality

Uses his size and power to try to dominate people when he has need, it masks a more studious side of the man. Always willing to help a neighbour when called upon but at the same time always looking for opportunity to get more from people than he gives.

Bio

His family can trace themselves back to the founding fathers of Greenfield, they have been highly active in the life of the place.

Alexander joined the military when he was 18 but doesn't talk about his time there, all people know is that he did see some combat because the scar on his shoulder looks like a bullet wound

He returned to Greenfield two years ago brought one of the nicest houses in town and settled back into a normal life.

*Note*

Please do not reveal what specific role you have been assigned. For the purpose of the IC thread you are all citizens of the town. The specific roles and their jobs will be handled through PM's.

Example: The Mafia will PM me who they want to kill. They will not post in the IC post that they killed X, as that is my job =)

The Doctor will PM me who they wish to say. I will post in the IC thread that X had been saved from death and the game continues.

The Sheriff will PM me who they wish to know whether or not Z is the Mafia.

The whole point of this game is to figure out who is who and ultimately find the Mafia before they are eliminated from the game. If they hang the doctor then they hang the doctor, and if they hang the sheriff then they hang the sheriff, but until the end of the game when the Mafia is dead I'd prefer it if everyone kept their roles a secret. You can technically say IC that "I'm the Sheriff" but it's not advised.

Of course this doesn't mean that you can't have your character lie in the game to save their hide from being hanged. For instance, at the town meeting character G pleads to the people that they shouldn't hang him as he is the Sheriff of the town. However, character J is really the sheriff and he knows this and he tries to convince the people that character G is lying.

Occupation: Computer technologies tech, and Martial arts instructor, Registered with the FBI as a deadly weapon due to his skills.
Appearance: Korean heritage, he is a small man, who does not weigh much, but what weight he has is muscle. His muscles are very defined and he is very much into both the physical and mental exercise of the Korean Martial Arts he is adept at. His hair is farely short, and his eyes dark and exotic.

Bio:
His father was a blondehaired blue eyed american who fell for an exotic beauty, who was born not 10 miles from Seoul Korea. She had been orphaned and adopted by an american family. They married and raised their son, Gerald who looked just like his mother. Many treat Gerald and his mother like they were foreigners, however they know nothing about their heritage, and are as american as the next person.
Gerald is quiet, rarely speaking his mind, he was raised to try to see the good in people, and, to do un to others as they would do un to you. His parents were both killed in a plaincrash and, Gerald went through a dark time in his life he never speaks of. Most people figure it had something to do with discrimination for his heritage, but he never talks about it. He lives on the outskirts of the city, and is extremely friendly to any of the people he meets whenever he is in town. He has always been excepted by everyone of greenfield, and apparently has left his past behind him, and bares no anomocity to the white population for the past treatment of himself. He is often asked advice with dealing with stress, for he is known to be an expert and proponent of meditation and focusing of energy through physical activity or relaxation techniques. To him, the mind and the body are one, or can be one. Although by law he was required to register with the FBI that he was able to kill a person with his bare hands, has never struck a person in anger, and strongly supports the idea that violence is not the answer. On the whole, he keeps to himself, but is not adverse to pleasant company or interaction, he just does not require it to be happy.

Occupation: She is currently working at a coffee shop, trying to save up money to go back to collage
Appearance: Mina has a pretty athletic figure, but she hadn't actually played sports in a while, so she's gaining a few pounds. She dresses a bit conservatively but is very attractive none the less
Bio: Wilhelmina has no heritage in the town, she was a orphan and adopted into the Braxton family at the age of four. She grew up though, a very bright child and in a loving family. Mina won a volleyball scholership to Yale and she left the town to go to school. She ended up dropping out after her parents died and coming back to town. She's now more introverted and not very willing to open up to people. But when she does, Mina has a great trust in people

That's a very good idea and I was going to do something pretty similar to that. I was hoping to get everyone to post their characters before starting the thread, although you are more than welcome to start playing. Until the murders start it's just a regular SRP thread.

Hair: Bright Orange-Red naturally.

Occupation: Screenwriter and sometimes accountant.

Bio: Johnathon Marshkowitz was a class clown in school, always the cut up and usually the freindliest kid in the class. However he was bright and secure in his studies excelling in both Maths and Literary pursuits, as well as his dramatic studies.

He left to go to a wiriting degree at the state college and from there was offered placement in Julliard. Julliard never panned out. Johnathon found out over the course of his college years with his father's death that he was adopted, and his real last name was Flanagan. This somewhat explained the red hair. Which his mother stills dyes to this day. After time he began writing scripts and travelled a good deal. Finally he came home from Vegas, with a good deal of time money and few explanations. He's now 26 with a project. To write a succesful spin off between CSI and Car 54. His own personal show idea.

Personality: Patience is horribly self-righteous. Her thinly veiled friendliness barely covers all the hostility she is carrying about her life. Her charity work is all by the hand of her father and her depression mistaken for humilty. Secretly, Patience would like nothing more then to leave town and be the next big hollywood heartthrob. She has scrap books full of unholy women like Marilyn Monroe, Jane Mansfield and Elizabeth Taylor. She idolizes all the old hollywood sex kittens. Her pent up sexual frustration is taken out on chocolate hence the soft physique and virginal status.

The elders of the community see Patience as a role model of good behavior and virtue. Her generation generally keep their distance since she was a horrible snitch growing up and a wet blanket at any social event not related to the church.

His fire and brimstone sermons would make Jonathon Edwards proud. Patience wanted to go to college like other kids, but her father saw no use in wasting the money that could be put to better use then educating a woman. His expectations is Patience marry a godly man and push out a few grandchildren post-haste. He has even been nice enough to introduce her to a few men almost twice her age for that very purpose. Patience refused the suitors, but dear old Dad has all but informed her she needs to marry in the next year.

Patience hates her life, hates the town and wants nothing more then to escape. She's tired off being forced into such a small world. She knows if she gives into her Dad's controlling ways then all her dreams will go up in smoke.She's got a plan to get her out, but she's just not sure if she can stomach the price.

Everyone thought Tom had dealt with her leaving him very well, he was still the same upbeat guy he'd always been as he went about his job, managing the FoodMart and coaching football on the weekends. He's currently struggling to gain custody of his son and reclaim a social life after nearly 27 years of marriage.
