Multiple Categories or one for a story?

I'm writing a multiple chapter story where the first four are romantic (actually the fourth one is more erotic couplings than romantic) but the next two are definitely erotic couplings. Is it better to put all chapters under one category so readers get the build up before the money shot? This is my first story.

I've done it both ways and haven't noticed that one way was better than the other.

We've had the thread a few times and normally the advice is not to switch categorys. That's good advice when going from say Erotic Couplings -> Trans -> Incests. For Erotic Coupling -> Romance, it's way less of an issue, but I'd just pick one and stay there. EC can have romance and Romance can have sex so just go with your gut.

The usual advice is yes, try to stick to one category.

What's your criteria for thinking later chapters might be EC? Romance readers on Lit can handle sex, if that's your difference.
